- 8896LP6: Hose size 3/8 in barb. This size fits 3/8 in inside-diameter fuel hose and works for fuel line setups that use the larger hose size.
Installation and fit
Match the barb size to the fuel hose inside diameter before installation. The fitting should be secured with fuel-line clamps, and any threaded connection in the matching fuel system should be assembled with fuel-compatible thread sealant where threads are used.
Before running the engine, check the connection by priming the fuel line and inspecting for leaks at the barb, clamp area, and quick-connect interface. This is especially important after replacing old hose, changing tanks, or servicing a fuel line that has been exposed to sun, salt, or repeated removal.
