Overview

The Vimar VM08502 is a 2-module mounting frame with claws for Ø60 mm round flush-mount boxes, used to secure Vimar 8000 series modular devices behind a finished cover plate.

It supports two standard modules when installed horizontally, or one module vertically, so you can match the orientation of your box and the available space on the bulkhead. The frame is thermoplastic and black, and it locks into the box using its claw system so the device sits square and flush once the plate is fitted.

This is the mounting frame only. The flush box, modular inserts, and cover plate are selected separately.

Key features
  • Fits Ø60 mm round flush mounting boxes
  • 2-module horizontal layout, with a 1-module vertical option when required by orientation
  • Claw mounting system grips the box securely without relying on a separate back box bracket
  • Flush-mounted frame style that aligns modular inserts cleanly behind a compatible cover plate
  • Thermoplastic construction that will not corrode in humid cabins and closed consoles
  • No built-in installation box and no separate fixing screws supplied
Compatibility and fit

Use this frame with Vimar 8000 series modular inserts and a matching cover plate sized for a 2-module layout. It is made for the common Ø60 mm round flush box found in many European-style installations on boats and RVs.

If your vessel uses rectangular wall boxes, surface-mount enclosures, or a round box with a different diameter, the frame will not seat correctly and the claws may not grab as intended.

Installation and setup

Bring the cable into the flush box with enough slack to dress conductors neatly, then set the frame into the box and tighten the claw mechanism so it locks squarely in place. On thin liners or uneven panels, take a moment to confirm the frame is sitting flat before you finish the device.

After the modular insert is fitted to the frame, install the cover plate and check that buttons and rockers move freely and that the front sits flush against the panel.

Use on board

This style of mounting frame is a good match for refits that use European modular switchgear in protected locations such as the cabin, nav station, head, galley, or inside a console. Any water resistance depends on the selected device and cover plate, not on the frame itself.

Maintenance and care

After the first few runs, recheck that vibration has not loosened the claw grip and that the device stays aligned in the opening. If you remove the assembly for service, back the claws off before pulling the frame to avoid stressing the box.

Shipping
We ship worldwide from the United States. Rates are calculated at checkout based on destination and package weight. Some items include free shipping, which will show automatically. Not every product is eligible for international shipping; checkout will confirm eligibility. We do not ship to PO Boxes except through USPS, and not all packages qualify.

Processing and dispatch
Most orders are verified, packed, and handed to the carrier within 1 to 2 business days. Some products may need extra handling time or ship directly from the manufacturer. For certain international orders, inventory transfers between warehouses may add time. If any delay is expected, we will let you know the dispatch date.

Delivery and tracking
Deliveries are handled by trusted carriers such as USPS, UPS, FedEx, and DHL. Estimated arrival times appear at checkout and depend on your location and the service you choose. These are estimates and can be affected by customs or carrier disruptions. A shipping confirmation with a tracking link is emailed when your order ships, and tracking may take up to 24 hours to update. You can also view tracking in your account.

Duties, taxes, and support
International customers are responsible for any customs duties, taxes, and fees charged by the destination country. If these charges are refused and a shipment returns to us, the carrier’s return cost and any re-entry customs fees will be deducted from the refund. If your order is late or you need help, contact cs@qualityboatparts.com and we will assist you.

Quality Boat Parts is a reseller. Many items include a manufacturer’s warranty, and all warranty service is handled directly by the manufacturer. We do not manage or administer warranty claims on behalf of customers.

Warranty terms, coverage, and duration are set by each manufacturer. Issues involving defects, repairs, or replacements must be addressed with the manufacturer’s support team. When available, the warranty period is listed on the product page. If it is not shown, contact us or the manufacturer for details before purchasing.

To start a claim, the customer must contact the manufacturer and follow their process. Keep your proof of purchase and original packaging, and register the product if the manufacturer requires it, as these are often needed for warranty service.

We are happy to help you find the right contact or documentation, but we cannot decide outcomes or intervene in claim resolutions. For guidance, email cs@qualityboatparts.com.
