Overview
The TACO Marine V30-0113B10-1 is a black 10 ft weather seal tape for sealing boat lids, doors, covers, and small compartments where spray, vibration, and rattling can become a problem. It uses a sponge rubber profile with adhesive backing, making it a practical replacement or upgrade for live wells, exterior access doors, instrument covers, and electronic boxes.
This tape is made for compression sealing on marine surfaces that see sun, water, temperature swings, and regular movement. It helps cushion contact points, reduce rattles, and limit water intrusion in areas where a narrow gasket strip is the right fit.
Key features
- 10 ft black weather seal tape for marine lids, doors, covers, live wells, and small access panels.
- Medium closed-cell sponge rubber helps create a cushioned seal while reducing vibration and rattling.
- Self-adhesive backing keeps installation straightforward on clean, dry mounting surfaces.
- Helps protect covered areas from water intrusion, spray, sunlight exposure, and temperature changes.
- Useful for instrument covers and electronic boxes where a softer gasket strip can help protect against movement and deck-level moisture.
Installation and fit
Clean the mounting surface before applying the tape, removing old adhesive, wax, oil, salt, and loose material. A dry surface gives the adhesive the best chance to bond evenly, especially around live well lids and exterior doors that are handled often.
Test the closing action before final placement. The seal should compress enough to close the gap without forcing the latch, hinge, or cover out of alignment. For corners, work slowly and avoid stretching the tape, since stretching can thin the profile and reduce sealing pressure after installation.
Use cases on board
This weather seal fits boats that need a simple gasket strip for hatches, live wells, cockpit lockers, instrument covers, or small electronics enclosures. It is a good match for owners replacing worn foam or rubber tape that has flattened, cracked, lost adhesion, or started letting lids rattle underway.
It is not a substitute for structural bedding compound, underwater sealant, or a gasket that must meet a specified fuel, oil, or pressure rating. Use it where a compressible weather strip is the correct sealing method.
Maintenance and care
Inspect the seal during regular washdowns and seasonal service. Replace it when the rubber no longer rebounds, the adhesive lifts, or the lid begins to rattle again. Keeping the surface clean and free of heavy residue helps the seal maintain contact and keeps the closing surface consistent over time.

Quality Boat Parts is a reseller. Many items include a manufacturer’s warranty, and all warranty service is handled directly by the manufacturer. We do not manage or administer warranty claims on behalf of customers.
Warranty terms, coverage, and duration are set by each manufacturer. Issues involving defects, repairs, or replacements must be addressed with the manufacturer’s support team. When available, the warranty period is listed on the product page. If it is not shown, contact us or the manufacturer for details before purchasing.
To start a claim, the customer must contact the manufacturer and follow their process. Keep your proof of purchase and original packaging, and register the product if the manufacturer requires it, as these are often needed for warranty service.
