Overview
The Perko Stealth Series is an LED universal replacement pole light for power-driven vessels under 20 meters, built for owners who need a white all-round light that can work with a range of existing 2-pin pole light bases. It uses 12V LED power, draws 1.5 watts at 0.1 amps, and carries a 2-mile USCG visibility rating for the navigation light zone it is built to serve.
This light is made to solve a common replacement problem on boats: matching a new pole light to an older or mixed base setup. The Stealth Series includes both threaded and locking collar compatibility, two screw positions, and a 40 degree adjustable head so the globe can be leveled horizontally after installation.
The reduced-glare globe helps keep light where it is needed for visibility while cutting down on wasted glare outside the visibility zone. That matters on night runs, early fishing departures, and returns to the dock when preserving night vision around the helm is just as important as being seen.
Key features
- LED all-round pole light for power-driven vessels under 20 meters in length.
- 12V operation with low current draw at 1.5 watts and 0.1 amps.
- 2-mile USCG visibility rating for navigation light use.
- 40 degree adjustable head allows horizontal alignment across different base angles.
- 3/4 inch diameter anodized aluminum pole for standard marine pole light installations.
- Black polymer top with a clear fluted lens for a clean, low-profile look on deck.
- Includes threaded and locking collar compatibility for Perko 2-pin bases and many other manufacturers' bases.
- Gold-plated contacts help maintain a cleaner electrical connection in a marine environment.
- Reduced-glare light pattern helps preserve night vision underway.
Variants
The Perko Stealth Series is offered in several pole lengths so the installed light height can match the boat layout, base location, and required visibility above surrounding hardware.
The length changes by variant, while the core light design stays consistent across the range: 12V LED operation, 2-mile USCG visibility, 3/4 inch anodized aluminum pole construction, a 40 degree adjustable head, and the same collar approach for 2-pin base compatibility.
- 1347DP2CHR: 24 inch pole length. This shorter pole keeps the light lower above the deck, which can suit compact runabouts or installations where the base is already mounted high.
- 1347DP4CHR: 36 inch pole length. This mid-length option raises the light farther above deck hardware while still being manageable for storage when removed.
- 1347DP5CHR: 42 inch pole length. The extra height can help clear taller seating, rails, or canvas on boats where the base sits lower.
- 1347DP6CHR: 48 inch pole length. This longer pole places the all-round light higher for layouts with more structure around the stern or cockpit.
- 1347DP7CHR: 54 inch pole length. This is the tallest listed option in the range and gives the most separation from deck obstructions among these variants.
Compatibility and fit
The Stealth Series fits Perko locking collar 2-pin bases 1045, 1046, 1047, 1059, and 1060, and the threaded collar fits Perko 1048 2-pin bases. Its universal replacement format is also intended to fit many other manufacturers' bases, which is useful when replacing a failed pole light without changing the deck-mounted base.
Before ordering, confirm the existing base style, pin configuration, rake angle, and the pole height needed for clear visibility above the stern, engine cover, Bimini frame, fishing gear, or other equipment that could block the light.
Installation and setup
The adjustable globe helps with final alignment after the pole is seated in the base. This is especially useful on boats where the existing base is angled, where a replacement pole from another style does not sit perfectly level, or where the mounting surface is not completely flat.
After installation, check that the light sits firmly in the base, the contacts engage cleanly, and the head is aligned so the all-round light projects properly. As with any removable navigation light, the pole and base should be kept clean and dry when stored to reduce contact wear and corrosion over time.
Use on board
This light is a practical match for owners replacing an all-round stern or anchor light on smaller powerboats, fishing boats, and coastal cruisers that use a removable pole light. The low power draw helps reduce load on the 12V system, while the reduced-glare design is useful during night operation when helm visibility and eye comfort matter.
