Overview

The Vimar VM03955 is a 4-button EnOcean RF wall control that transmits at 868.3 MHz and powers itself through an electrodynamic generator, so it does not need batteries or a wired supply. It is a 2-module unit that is completed with Vimar Eikon 20506 or 20506.2, Arké 19506 or 19506.2, or Plana 14506 or 14506.2 button sets. With IP40 protection, it belongs in dry, sheltered interior locations.

On a boat, this is a clean way to add a switch point for cabin lights, courtesy lighting, or other loads that are switched through a compatible EnOcean receiver or actuator. It communicates using the EnOcean Equipment Profile (EEP) F6 02 01, so the receiving device needs to support that profile. Range can reach up to 70 m in open field, but it drops when the signal has to pass through onboard structure and metalwork, so placement and a quick signal check matter.

Key features
  • Energy harvesting operation with a built-in electrodynamic generator, with no batteries to replace
  • EnOcean RF transmitter at 868.3 MHz, using EEP F6 02 01 for compatibility with supported EnOcean receivers
  • Four-button flat control in a 2-module format, completed with Eikon, Arké, or Plana dedicated button sets
  • Up to 70 m range in open field, with reduced performance through metal and dense construction
  • Flush or surface mounting supported, with IP40 protection suited to indoor, sheltered spaces
  • Operating temperature range of -5 to +45 °C for indoor use
Installation and setup

The device can be installed flush or surface mounted. For surface mounting, it uses a dedicated mounting frame (21507, 20507, 19507, 20607, or 14607) and is commonly fitted on materials such as wood and masonry. The front button set is selected to match the Vimar series you are using (Eikon, Arké, or Plana) and clips onto the unit to create the finished 4-button control.

When a button is pressed, a mechanical click is required for the radio command to transmit. Before finalizing the mounting location on board, it is worth checking the radio link quality with the receiving actuator or gateway, especially if the bulkhead area includes metal panels or nearby equipment.

Compatibility and system integration

This is an EnOcean radio transmitter, so it works with EnOcean receivers and actuators that accept EEP F6 02 01 (for example, compatible EnOcean relay actuators). It does not switch a load directly, and it is not a wired bus interface, so the actual power switching is handled by the receiving device you pair it with.

The RF band is 868.3 MHz, which is typically used for EnOcean in Europe. If your vessel is being outfitted for a different regulatory region, confirm that 868 MHz devices are appropriate for the installation location and the rest of the EnOcean equipment on board.

Use cases on board

This control suits refits where you want an extra switching point without pulling new control wiring through headliners or joinery. It is commonly used for lighting scenes, berth and cabin switching, or adding a second control location near a companionway or nav station, as long as the EnOcean receiver is within reliable radio range.

It is a good match for owners who want battery-free wall controls for interior spaces and who already have, or are adding, EnOcean actuators or a gateway to handle the actual switching.

Placement and environment

With IP40 protection and an indoor operating range, plan to mount it in protected areas such as cabins, saloon spaces, wheelhouse interiors, or other dry locations. Avoid exposed cockpit surfaces and anywhere that sees washdowns, spray, or persistent condensation.

Shipping
We ship worldwide from the United States. Rates are calculated at checkout based on destination and package weight. Some items include free shipping, which will show automatically. Not every product is eligible for international shipping; checkout will confirm eligibility. We do not ship to PO Boxes except through USPS, and not all packages qualify.

Processing and dispatch
Most orders are verified, packed, and handed to the carrier within 1 to 2 business days. Some products may need extra handling time or ship directly from the manufacturer. For certain international orders, inventory transfers between warehouses may add time. If any delay is expected, we will let you know the dispatch date.

Delivery and tracking
Deliveries are handled by trusted carriers such as USPS, UPS, FedEx, and DHL. Estimated arrival times appear at checkout and depend on your location and the service you choose. These are estimates and can be affected by customs or carrier disruptions. A shipping confirmation with a tracking link is emailed when your order ships, and tracking may take up to 24 hours to update. You can also view tracking in your account.

Duties, taxes, and support
International customers are responsible for any customs duties, taxes, and fees charged by the destination country. If these charges are refused and a shipment returns to us, the carrier’s return cost and any re-entry customs fees will be deducted from the refund. If your order is late or you need help, contact cs@qualityboatparts.com and we will assist you.

Quality Boat Parts is a reseller. Many items include a manufacturer’s warranty, and all warranty service is handled directly by the manufacturer. We do not manage or administer warranty claims on behalf of customers.

Warranty terms, coverage, and duration are set by each manufacturer. Issues involving defects, repairs, or replacements must be addressed with the manufacturer’s support team. When available, the warranty period is listed on the product page. If it is not shown, contact us or the manufacturer for details before purchasing.

To start a claim, the customer must contact the manufacturer and follow their process. Keep your proof of purchase and original packaging, and register the product if the manufacturer requires it, as these are often needed for warranty service.

We are happy to help you find the right contact or documentation, but we cannot decide outcomes or intervene in claim resolutions. For guidance, email cs@qualityboatparts.com.
