Overview

The Vimar VM03925 is a 4-button Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) radio transmitter module that creates a battery-free control point for onboard systems that accept BLE switch telegrams. Each press generates its own power through an integrated kinetic energy harvester, then sends a 2.4 GHz BLE transmission across 2402 to 2480 MHz.

It fits a 2-module position and is completed with compatible Vimar button sets for Eikon, Arké, Idea, or Plana series. Typical range is up to 75 m in open field, with real-world distance reduced by bulkheads, metal surfaces, and mounting details, so placement on a boat matters.

With no supply voltage required at the switch location, it is a practical choice for refits where you want a clean control point without pulling new wiring through liners or headliners.

Key features
  • Self-powered kinetic energy harvester with no batteries and no supply voltage required at the control point
  • 4-button input arrangement (up to four buttons or two rockers) for multi-function switching and scene triggering
  • Bluetooth Low Energy radio in the 2.4 GHz band (2402 to 2480 MHz), with max transmit power of 0.4 dBm (1.1 mW)
  • NFC configuration interface (NFC Forum Type 2 Tag, ISO/IEC 14443 Part 2 and 3)
  • Range guidance of up to 75 m line of sight, and around 10 m in indoor-type environments, with additional reduction near conductive structures
  • 2-module format; completes with Vimar button sets for Eikon 20506/20506.2, Arké 19506/19506.2, Idea 16526/16526.2, or Plana 14506/14506.2
  • AES-128 authentication (CBC mode) with sequence code for telegram protection
  • Operating temperature from -25 C to +65 C (indoor use)
Installation and setup

This module sits behind the matching Vimar button set. When a button is pressed, you should feel and hear a mechanical click, which is the actuator movement that generates the energy for transmission.

Installation can be flush or surface mounted, depending on the support and frame used for the chosen Vimar series. Surface mounting typically uses the dedicated mounting frame for the series, while flush mounting uses the in-wall support arrangement. The receiver or actuator being controlled still needs its own power source and must be within RF range.

Compatibility and system integration

VM03925 communicates using BLE advertising telegrams, so it must be paired with a compatible BLE receiver, actuator, or gateway that understands the transmitted switch status. It is commonly used as a wall control for connected actuators and for triggering scenes in View Wireless systems, and it is also compatible at application level with BLE receivers that use Casambi protocol and technology.

NFC is used for configuration tasks such as commissioning and certain parameter changes, so it helps to choose an install location where you can still reach the face of the control with an NFC-capable device if adjustments are needed later.

Use on board

On a boat, this type of control makes the most sense in dry interior spaces where you want a switch point without adding cabling, such as cabin lighting scenes, saloon courtesy lighting, or a helm-side control for a compatible actuator or mode.

It is a good match for owners doing upgrades and refits, especially where access panels are limited and battery replacement would be annoying.

Environmental and placement notes

Mount it in a protected, indoor location away from washdowns, spray, and direct weather. 2.4 GHz signals can be attenuated by metal bulkheads and nearby conductive surfaces, so on vessels with a lot of metal structure it is worth doing a quick range check before you finalize the mounting position.

Maintenance and care

There are no batteries to service. Keep the button mechanism free of grit and salt residue so the click action stays consistent, and clean with a soft, lightly damp cloth when needed.

Shipping
We ship worldwide from the United States. Rates are calculated at checkout based on destination and package weight. Some items include free shipping, which will show automatically. Not every product is eligible for international shipping; checkout will confirm eligibility. We do not ship to PO Boxes except through USPS, and not all packages qualify.

Processing and dispatch
Most orders are verified, packed, and handed to the carrier within 1 to 2 business days. Some products may need extra handling time or ship directly from the manufacturer. For certain international orders, inventory transfers between warehouses may add time. If any delay is expected, we will let you know the dispatch date.

Delivery and tracking
Deliveries are handled by trusted carriers such as USPS, UPS, FedEx, and DHL. Estimated arrival times appear at checkout and depend on your location and the service you choose. These are estimates and can be affected by customs or carrier disruptions. A shipping confirmation with a tracking link is emailed when your order ships, and tracking may take up to 24 hours to update. You can also view tracking in your account.

Duties, taxes, and support
International customers are responsible for any customs duties, taxes, and fees charged by the destination country. If these charges are refused and a shipment returns to us, the carrier’s return cost and any re-entry customs fees will be deducted from the refund. If your order is late or you need help, contact cs@qualityboatparts.com and we will assist you.

Quality Boat Parts is a reseller. Many items include a manufacturer’s warranty, and all warranty service is handled directly by the manufacturer. We do not manage or administer warranty claims on behalf of customers.

Warranty terms, coverage, and duration are set by each manufacturer. Issues involving defects, repairs, or replacements must be addressed with the manufacturer’s support team. When available, the warranty period is listed on the product page. If it is not shown, contact us or the manufacturer for details before purchasing.

To start a claim, the customer must contact the manufacturer and follow their process. Keep your proof of purchase and original packaging, and register the product if the manufacturer requires it, as these are often needed for warranty service.

We are happy to help you find the right contact or documentation, but we cannot decide outcomes or intervene in claim resolutions. For guidance, email cs@qualityboatparts.com.
