Overview

The Vimar VM01976 is a By-me Marine DIN rail actuator with a 1-10 V DC control output (30 mA max) for LED driver dimming and a normally-open 12-24 V relay output rated up to 10 A for switching a low-voltage circuit.

It uses an auxiliary supply of 12-24 V AC (50/60 Hz) or 12-24 V DC (SELV) and connects to the By-me bus (29 V). In a panel it occupies 3 DIN modules (17.5 mm each) on a 60715 TH35 rail, which helps when space is tight in a helm or equipment-locker enclosure.

On board, it is commonly used when you want dimming control from the By-me system for cabin, cockpit, or courtesy lighting that runs through a 1-10 V dimmable LED driver, while keeping a separate switched output available on the same module.

Key features
  • 1-10 V DC dimming output for LED driver control, up to 30 mA.
  • Normally-open relay contacts (NO, C) for 12-24 V circuits, rated up to 10 A for resistive loads and LED spotlights (20,000 cycles).
  • Auxiliary supply accepts 12-24 V AC or 12-24 V DC (SELV), with ±10% tolerance.
  • By-me bus connection (rated bus 29 V) with a configuration button and status LED for commissioning.
  • DIN rail mounting on 60715 TH35, with a 3-module footprint (3 x 17.5 mm).
  • Up to 10 m maximum between the actuator and the LED driver when using twisted cable for the 1-10 V control run.
  • Specified operating temperature range of -5 °C to +45 °C for indoor installations.
  • Submitted to salt mist and vibration testing for marine use (IEC 60068-2-52 Test Kb and IEC 60068-2-6 Test Fc).
Installation and setup

This unit is meant to live inside a protected electrical cabinet, not out in open spray zones. Mount it on a TH35 DIN rail, bring in the By-me bus line, then wire the auxiliary 12-24 V supply and the 1-10 V control pair to the LED driver input.

Keep the 1-10 V control wiring tidy and follow the recommended 10 m maximum run to the driver when using twisted cable. The relay feeding circuit should be protected against overloads with a fuse rated no higher than 12 A.

Electrical and system integration

The actuator is configured from a By-me control unit using the onboard configuration button and LED. It supports one functional block that can be assigned to up to 4 groups, and it can store and recall states in up to 4 scenarios.

For fine-tuning dimming behavior, parameters include adjustment speed (low, medium, or high) and a minimum-output offset that can be set from 1 to 2 V (default 1.2 V).

Compatibility and fit

Use this actuator with LED drivers that accept 1-10 V analog dimming. The relay output is intended for 12-24 V loads, and the contacts provided are normally-open with common (NO, C).

This is a good match for boats already running a By-me Marine automation bus that need to add controlled dimming to a 1-10 V lighting driver and still want a dedicated low-voltage relay output available in the same panel.

Shipping
We ship worldwide from the United States. Rates are calculated at checkout based on destination and package weight. Some items include free shipping, which will show automatically. Not every product is eligible for international shipping; checkout will confirm eligibility. We do not ship to PO Boxes except through USPS, and not all packages qualify.

Processing and dispatch
Most orders are verified, packed, and handed to the carrier within 1 to 2 business days. Some products may need extra handling time or ship directly from the manufacturer. For certain international orders, inventory transfers between warehouses may add time. If any delay is expected, we will let you know the dispatch date.

Delivery and tracking
Deliveries are handled by trusted carriers such as USPS, UPS, FedEx, and DHL. Estimated arrival times appear at checkout and depend on your location and the service you choose. These are estimates and can be affected by customs or carrier disruptions. A shipping confirmation with a tracking link is emailed when your order ships, and tracking may take up to 24 hours to update. You can also view tracking in your account.

Duties, taxes, and support
International customers are responsible for any customs duties, taxes, and fees charged by the destination country. If these charges are refused and a shipment returns to us, the carrier’s return cost and any re-entry customs fees will be deducted from the refund. If your order is late or you need help, contact cs@qualityboatparts.com and we will assist you.

Quality Boat Parts is a reseller. Many items include a manufacturer’s warranty, and all warranty service is handled directly by the manufacturer. We do not manage or administer warranty claims on behalf of customers.

Warranty terms, coverage, and duration are set by each manufacturer. Issues involving defects, repairs, or replacements must be addressed with the manufacturer’s support team. When available, the warranty period is listed on the product page. If it is not shown, contact us or the manufacturer for details before purchasing.

To start a claim, the customer must contact the manufacturer and follow their process. Keep your proof of purchase and original packaging, and register the product if the manufacturer requires it, as these are often needed for warranty service.

We are happy to help you find the right contact or documentation, but we cannot decide outcomes or intervene in claim resolutions. For guidance, email cs@qualityboatparts.com.
