Overview

The Perko 1129 is a navigation light series for vessels from 20 meters to 50 meters in length, with configurations for a white stern light or a yellow towing light. It is a deck mounted incandescent light with a 2 nautical mile USCG certified visibility range and a 135 degree visibility arc.

This series is built with a black or white polymer housing, depending on the selected variant, and comes pre-wired with 3 feet of 16/3-SJO cable. The overall height is 7-1/2 inches, the lens height is 4-1/2 inches, and installation uses 1/4 inch screws.

The light accepts 12, 24, or 120 volt bulb options, with 30 watt ratings across those voltage choices. The bulb is not included, so the correct Perko 0374 bulb should be matched to the vessel voltage during installation.

This product is offered in four configurations that change the light type and housing color. The light type determines whether the unit is used as a white stern light or a yellow towing light, while the housing color lets the installation blend with a black or white mounting surface.

• 1129A00BLK: White stern light with black housing. This version is used for aft white stern light coverage and includes a black polymer housing; this specific variant is supplied with a gray tinted lens.
• 1129A00WHT: White stern light with white housing. This version is used for aft white stern light coverage where a white housing suits the deck, transom, or superstructure finish.
• 1129MA0BLK: Yellow towing light with black housing. This version is for yellow towing light use and keeps the housing color black for darker mounting areas.
• 1129MA0WHT: Yellow towing light with white housing. This version is for yellow towing light use where a white housing gives a cleaner match on light-colored surfaces.

Installation and setup

Plan the mounting position so the lens has the required aft visibility and is not blocked by rails, davits, canvas, radar arches, fishing gear, or tender equipment. The 3 foot cable gives a practical lead for routing into the vessel wiring, but the final wiring run should still be protected from chafe, water intrusion, and strain at the entry point.

The bulb is selected separately to match the boat voltage. For UL Standard 1104 compliance, use the proper Perko 0374 bulb for the system voltage rather than substituting an unverified bulb.

This light series is intended for larger vessels in the 20 meter to 50 meter range, including commercial boats, workboats, towing vessels, and larger recreational craft that need the correct certified stern or towing light function. It is a fit-focused choice when the installation calls for a serviceable incandescent navigation light with a polymer housing and a defined 2 nautical mile rating.

Maintenance and care

The watertight access cap makes routine service straightforward. During seasonal checks, inspect the lens, cap, wiring entry, and mounting screws, then clean away salt and grime so the light output and visibility arc are not reduced by buildup.

If these charges are refused and a shipment returns to us, the carrier’s return cost and any re-entry customs fees will be deducted from the refund.
