Overview

The Vimar VM01850.2 is a By-me Plus DIN-rail relay actuator that switches one 120-230 V AC circuit using a single change-over contact (NO/C/NC) rated up to 16 A on resistive loads. It mounts on a 60715 TH35 rail and takes up 2 DIN modules (2 x 17.5 mm), so it fits cleanly inside a standard electrical distribution panel.

Control comes from the TP bus (29 V bus supply), which makes it a practical match on boats that already run a By-me Plus automation backbone and want an AC load under centralized control. A front push button supports manual operation for service checks and commissioning work when you need the load to toggle locally.

The enclosure is IP20, so plan on installing it inside a dry, protected cabinet rather than in a splash zone or anywhere exposed to washdowns.

Key features
  • Single change-over relay output (NO/C/NC) for 120-230 V AC load switching
  • Rated for 16 A resistive loads; includes defined ratings for common lighting and motor-type loads
  • TP bus connection with 29 V bus supply for By-me Plus system integration
  • Manual management push button on the front for local relay actuation when needed
  • DIN-rail mount on 60715 TH35; footprint is 2 modules (2 x 17.5 mm)
  • IP20 housing for installation inside an enclosure; operating temperature range -5 C to +45 C
  • RAL 7035 grey finish that matches typical electrical panel interiors
Installation and setup

Mount the unit on a standard TH35 DIN rail inside a distribution board or automation cabinet, leaving enough room for cable bend radius and service access to the front buttons. Keep the TP bus conductors routed separately from mains wiring and follow your vessel wiring practices for strain relief and vibration management.

Terminations are straightforward: the TP bus lands on the bus terminals, and the switched circuit lands on the relay terminals (NO, C, NC). Using the common and either NO or NC contact lets you choose whether the load is normally off or normally on when the relay is at rest.

Electrical and load notes

This actuator is meant for controlling 120-230 V AC loads through its relay contacts. For a typical shore-power or generator-fed circuit on board, size upstream overcurrent protection so it does not exceed 16 A, and match the protection method to your panel design and applicable marine electrical standards.

When switching anything other than a resistive load, the allowable current can be lower. Typical examples include incandescent lighting at 10 A, fluorescent or energy-saving lamps at 1 A, electronic transformers at 4 A, ferromagnetic transformers at 10 A, and motor-type loads at 3.5 A (cos phi 0.6). If you are driving contactors, pumps, or transformers, confirm the inrush and steady-state current so the relay is not being asked to do more than it is rated for.

Use cases on board

This type of bus-controlled relay actuator is a good fit when you want automation control over an AC load that lives inside the electrical panel. Common marine examples include managing a circulation pump, a fan coil accessory, a lighting feed, or a control input to a separate power device, as long as the circuit stays within the relay ratings.

If your boat only needs 12 V or 24 V DC switching, use a relay module that is explicitly rated for DC loads and the specific current involved.

Shipping
We ship worldwide from the United States. Rates are calculated at checkout based on destination and package weight. Some items include free shipping, which will show automatically. Not every product is eligible for international shipping; checkout will confirm eligibility. We do not ship to PO Boxes except through USPS, and not all packages qualify.

Processing and dispatch
Most orders are verified, packed, and handed to the carrier within 1 to 2 business days. Some products may need extra handling time or ship directly from the manufacturer. For certain international orders, inventory transfers between warehouses may add time. If any delay is expected, we will let you know the dispatch date.

Delivery and tracking
Deliveries are handled by trusted carriers such as USPS, UPS, FedEx, and DHL. Estimated arrival times appear at checkout and depend on your location and the service you choose. These are estimates and can be affected by customs or carrier disruptions. A shipping confirmation with a tracking link is emailed when your order ships, and tracking may take up to 24 hours to update. You can also view tracking in your account.

Duties, taxes, and support
International customers are responsible for any customs duties, taxes, and fees charged by the destination country. If these charges are refused and a shipment returns to us, the carrier’s return cost and any re-entry customs fees will be deducted from the refund. If your order is late or you need help, contact cs@qualityboatparts.com and we will assist you.

Quality Boat Parts is a reseller. Many items include a manufacturer’s warranty, and all warranty service is handled directly by the manufacturer. We do not manage or administer warranty claims on behalf of customers.

Warranty terms, coverage, and duration are set by each manufacturer. Issues involving defects, repairs, or replacements must be addressed with the manufacturer’s support team. When available, the warranty period is listed on the product page. If it is not shown, contact us or the manufacturer for details before purchasing.

To start a claim, the customer must contact the manufacturer and follow their process. Keep your proof of purchase and original packaging, and register the product if the manufacturer requires it, as these are often needed for warranty service.

We are happy to help you find the right contact or documentation, but we cannot decide outcomes or intervene in claim resolutions. For guidance, email cs@qualityboatparts.com.
