Overview
The Vimar VM00910 is a rechargeable Ni-MH battery pack (4.8 V, 80 mAh) used as the replacement battery for Vimar electronic hand lamps. It is made for the civil series emergency flashlights used with Eikon, Arké, Plana, and Idea installations, where the hand lamp docks into its base for charging and is ready to grab during a power loss.
This is the battery pack only, meant to restore normal run-time and charging behavior on an existing hand lamp that takes a 4.8 V Ni-MH pack. The pack itself weighs 18 g, so it stays in line with the way the lamp fits and handles once installed.
Key features
- Rechargeable Ni-MH battery pack for Vimar electronic hand lamps
- Nominal voltage: 4.8 V
- Capacity: 80 mAh
- Battery pack format (pre-assembled pack), not loose individual cells
- Compatible application: civil series emergency flashlights for Eikon, Arké, Plana, and Idea
- Not intended for rapid charging
- Battery weight: 18 g
Compatibility and fit
Use this battery only when the installed hand lamp is the Vimar type that uses a 4.8 V Ni-MH pack in the Eikon, Arké, Plana, or Idea civil series emergency flashlight setup. Before ordering, match the voltage and chemistry on the battery already in your lamp, since the charging circuit is built around that battery type.
Installation and setup
Replace the pack with the lamp removed from its charging base and with power to the base turned off if it is hardwired into the boat. Once the housing is opened, swap the pack like-for-like and keep polarity and routing the same as the original so the lamp seats back into the base cleanly.
After replacement, let the hand lamp complete a normal charge cycle in its base before relying on it for emergency use.
Electrical and charging notes
This battery pack is for the hand lamp’s internal circuit and charging base, not for direct connection to 12 V or 24 V boat power. Charge it using the existing hand lamp cradle and avoid fast-charge equipment that is not meant for this pack.
Use on board
This is a practical match for boats already fitted with Vimar civil-series modules where a removable emergency hand lamp is part of the interior safety setup, such as near the companionway, nav station, or cabins. It keeps that built-in grab light ready without changing the lamp or the mounting hardware.
Maintenance and care
Rechargeable packs last longer when they are kept topped up and stored in their normal charging location rather than left fully discharged. Dispose of the old pack through a battery recycling program appropriate for Ni-MH batteries.
Shipping
We ship worldwide from the United States. Rates are calculated at checkout based on destination and package weight. Some items include free shipping, which will show automatically. Not every product is eligible for international shipping; checkout will confirm eligibility. We do not ship to PO Boxes except through USPS, and not all packages qualify.
Processing and dispatch
Most orders are verified, packed, and handed to the carrier within 1 to 2 business days. Some products may need extra handling time or ship directly from the manufacturer. For certain international orders, inventory transfers between warehouses may add time. If any delay is expected, we will let you know the dispatch date.
Delivery and tracking
Deliveries are handled by trusted carriers such as USPS, UPS, FedEx, and DHL. Estimated arrival times appear at checkout and depend on your location and the service you choose. These are estimates and can be affected by customs or carrier disruptions. A shipping confirmation with a tracking link is emailed when your order ships, and tracking may take up to 24 hours to update. You can also view tracking in your account.
Duties, taxes, and support
International customers are responsible for any customs duties, taxes, and fees charged by the destination country. If these charges are refused and a shipment returns to us, the carrier’s return cost and any re-entry customs fees will be deducted from the refund. If your order is late or you need help, contact cs@qualityboatparts.com and we will assist you.
Quality Boat Parts is a reseller. Many items include a manufacturer’s warranty, and all warranty service is handled directly by the manufacturer. We do not manage or administer warranty claims on behalf of customers.
Warranty terms, coverage, and duration are set by each manufacturer. Issues involving defects, repairs, or replacements must be addressed with the manufacturer’s support team. When available, the warranty period is listed on the product page. If it is not shown, contact us or the manufacturer for details before purchasing.
To start a claim, the customer must contact the manufacturer and follow their process. Keep your proof of purchase and original packaging, and register the product if the manufacturer requires it, as these are often needed for warranty service.
We are happy to help you find the right contact or documentation, but we cannot decide outcomes or intervene in claim resolutions. For guidance, email cs@qualityboatparts.com.
