Overview
The Raymarine A80490 is a 25-pin to 9-pin transducer adapter cable that connects a compatible DownVision transducer or CPT-S-series transducer to Raymarine displays with an RV or RVM sonar port. It bridges the connector difference between the display and transducer, which is the key fit point on this part.
This is a fit-critical accessory for setups built around Axiom RV, Axiom PRO RV, and CPT-S installations on Axiom PRO S and Axiom 2 Pro S. It is also used with newer RV and RVM based displays such as Axiom+ RV 3D and Axiom 2 RV 3D. On S-variant displays, CPT-S transducers work through this adapter, while DownVision transducers do not.
Key features
- 25-pin display connection to 9-pin transducer connection
- Works with compatible Raymarine DownVision transducers and CPT-S-series transducers on displays that use an RV or RVM sonar port
- Useful when reusing an existing 9-pin transducer with an Axiom-family display that expects a 25-pin sonar connection
- Plug-in adapter format keeps the transducer run intact without cutting or re-terminating the cable
- Important compatibility note for S-variant displays: CPT-S transducers are supported through this adapter, but DownVision transducers are not
Compatibility and fit
Check both ends before ordering. The display side must have the 25-pin RV or RVM transducer connection, and the transducer side must use the 9-pin plug found on compatible DownVision or CPT-S models. If your transducer already matches the display port directly, this adapter is not needed.
This cable makes sense on refits and display upgrades where the sonar channel is compatible but the connector style is different. It is especially useful when a working 9-pin transducer is staying on the boat and the new display uses the 25-pin Raymarine sonar connection.
Installation and setup
The adapter installs inline between the display and the transducer lead, so the job is usually straightforward once connector fit is confirmed. On most boats, the best mounting position is behind the helm or electronics panel where the plugs can stay supported and out of standing water.
Leave enough slack for vibration and service access, and avoid forcing the cable into a tight bend right at the connectors. This product is a good match for owners updating a Raymarine display without replacing a compatible transducer that is already installed and working properly.

Quality Boat Parts is a reseller. Many items include a manufacturer’s warranty, and all warranty service is handled directly by the manufacturer. We do not manage or administer warranty claims on behalf of customers.
Warranty terms, coverage, and duration are set by each manufacturer. Issues involving defects, repairs, or replacements must be addressed with the manufacturer’s support team. When available, the warranty period is listed on the product page. If it is not shown, contact us or the manufacturer for details before purchasing.
To start a claim, the customer must contact the manufacturer and follow their process. Keep your proof of purchase and original packaging, and register the product if the manufacturer requires it, as these are often needed for warranty service.
We are happy to help you find the right contact or documentation, but we cannot decide outcomes or intervene in claim resolutions. For guidance, email cs@qualityboatparts.com.
