Overview
The Perko 0626DP0STS is a pair of red and green LED horizontal mount side navigation lights for power-driven vessels under 20 meters, or 65.6 feet. Each light uses a 12 Volt LED module with a 2.5 watt draw and 0.21 amp current, giving boat owners a low-profile replacement or upgrade for compliant port and starboard side lighting.
The lights have a polished stainless steel top with a black polymer base, so they suit exposed deck, bow, and cabin-side mounting areas where spray, sun, and vibration are part of normal use. They are USCG 2 nautical mile certified and meet ABYC C-5, ABYC A-16, EN/ISO 19009:2015, 1972 COLREGS, RCD 2013/53/EU, and USCG 33 CFR requirements.
With compact 2-1/2 inch x 2-3/4 inch x 1 inch housings, these side lights make sense for center consoles, runabouts, fishing boats, and small cruisers that need a clean horizontal-mount layout without moving to a larger fixture.
Key features
- Pair of red and green horizontal mount LED side lights for port and starboard navigation lighting.
- Certified for power-driven boats under 20 meters, or 65.6 feet, in USA and European markets.
- USCG 2 nautical mile certified for required side light visibility.
- 12 Volt LED operation with 2.5 watt power use and 0.21 amp current draw.
- Polished stainless steel top and black polymer base for a clean look on exposed mounting surfaces.
- Low-profile housing measures 2-1/2 inch x 2-3/4 inch x 1 inch.
- Uses #6 mounting screws for installation.
- Same footprint perimeter as Perko 0615 and 0616 LED lights, although wiring hole and screw locations may vary.
- Meets ABYC C-5, ABYC A-16, EN/ISO 19009:2015, 1972 COLREGS, RCD 2013/53/EU, and USCG 33 CFR standards.
Installation and fit
These lights are made for horizontal mounting, so they belong on flat or suitably prepared surfaces where the port and starboard lenses can show the correct navigation sectors without obstruction. Before replacing older Perko 0615 or 0616 LED lights, check the existing wiring hole and screw locations against the new fixture, since the footprint perimeter is similar but the mounting details may not be identical.
The compact housing helps when space is limited near bow rails, anchor lockers, rub rails, or deck hardware. Use the correct #6 fasteners for the mounting surface and bed the installation properly for the location, especially on cored decks or areas exposed to regular washdowns.
Electrical and compliance
This is a 12 Volt LED light set, so it is suited to standard 12V DC boat electrical systems. The LED modules keep current draw low, which is useful on smaller boats where navigation lights may run for long periods during evening returns, early departures, or low-visibility conditions.
The 2 nautical mile certification and listed marine lighting standards matter for owners replacing faded, cracked, or outdated side lights. Correct mounting height, orientation, wiring protection, and switch labeling are still part of the installation, so the final setup should be checked as a complete navigation light system rather than as the fixture alone.
