The Simrad 000-15072-001 is a dash mounting kit for securing a Cruise 9 (9 inch) display to a helm panel.

It is used when you want the screen mounted in the dashboard so the unit is fastened to the console instead of sitting on a separate bracket. The kit includes four mounting screws for the installation hardware.

Compatibility and fit

This kit is specific to the Cruise 9 display size. Match it to your Cruise 9 before cutting the dashboard.

Check clearance behind the panel for the display body, connectors, and a relaxed cable bend so plugs are not forced against a bulkhead.

Installation and setup

Mark and cut the helm opening to the Cruise 9 mounting footprint, then dry-fit the display before final fastening.

Tighten the screws evenly and stop once the unit is seated. On thin fiberglass or plastic panels, a backing plate behind the dash helps spread the load and keeps the panel from flexing.

On-board use

A dash-mounted display keeps the chartplotter centered at the helm and leaves more space around the wheel, throttles, and switches. It suits center consoles, runabouts, and pilothouses where the Cruise 9 stays installed full-time.

Maintenance and care

After heavy weather runs, give the fasteners a quick check and rinse off salt spray around the mount area. If the console is routinely washed down, keep water from pooling at the cutout and seal any exposed core material in the dash opening.
