Overview
The Attwood Marine 5090 Series is an incandescent bi-color stowaway sidelight range for bow mounting on boats up to 39.4 ft. (12 m). It gives 1-mile, 225° red and green visibility from a removable pole light, helping meet the sidelight visibility needs of small powerboats, fishing boats, and other vessels in this size class.
Each light uses an anodized aluminum pole to raise the red and green lens head above common bow obstructions such as trolling motors, anchors, and deck hardware. The light can be removed from the base when it is not needed, which keeps the bow area cleaner for fishing, anchoring, trailering, or storage.
Key features
- 1-mile red and green sidelight visibility with a 225° viewing arc for boats up to 39.4 ft. (12 m).
- Incandescent bi-color light head with red and green lenses for bow navigation lighting.
- Includes a 9W wedge base lamp.
- Anodized aluminum pole raises the light above gear mounted near the bow.
- Stowaway pole format lets the light be removed from the base when the bow needs to stay clear.
- Available with 2-pin standard or 2-pin locking-collar pole interfaces.
- Available in 10 in and 14 in pole lengths, with straight or angled pole configurations depending on the variant.
Variants
This sidelight range is offered in multiple pole configurations so the installation can match the existing bow base, pole angle, and light height needed on the boat.
The main differences between the variants are the 2-pin pole interface, the pole length, and whether the pole is straight or angled. The 1-mile, 225° red and green sidelight function remains the same across the listed configurations.
- 5091-14-7: 2-pin standard pole interface with a 14 in angled pole. The longer angled pole helps lift the light head higher above equipment mounted near the bow while matching a standard 2-pin base style.
- 5092-10-7: 2-pin locking-collar pole interface with a 10 in straight pole. The straight 10 in format suits lower-profile bow setups where a locking-collar connection is needed.
- 5092-14-7: 2-pin locking-collar pole interface with a 14 in straight pole. The added pole height helps improve clearance over bow hardware while keeping a straight vertical light position.
- 5091-10-7: 2-pin standard pole interface with a 10 in angled pole. This shorter angled version fits standard 2-pin installations where the light head needs to be offset from nearby bow equipment.
Compatibility and fit
These lights are intended for bow-mounted sidelight use on boats up to 39.4 ft. (12 m). Before replacing an existing pole light, match the pole interface to the boat’s base: 5091 variants use a 2-pin standard pole interface, while 5092 variants use a 2-pin locking-collar pole interface.
Pole length and angle matter on crowded bows. A 14 in pole gives more height over trolling motors, anchors, and rails, while a 10 in pole keeps the light lower where extra clearance is not needed. Straight poles keep the lens head centered above the base, while angled poles offset the head position from the mounting point.
Installation and use on board
The pole mounts into a compatible bow light base and can be removed for stowage after use. This is practical on fishing boats, runabouts, and trailer boats where the bow area often changes between navigation, anchoring, casting, and trailering.
Because this is an incandescent navigation light, the bulb, lens, base contact points, and wiring condition should be checked during routine maintenance. Clean electrical contact and an unobstructed lens path are especially important for dependable visibility at night or in reduced-light conditions.

Quality Boat Parts is a reseller. Many items include a manufacturer’s warranty, and all warranty service is handled directly by the manufacturer. We do not manage or administer warranty claims on behalf of customers.
Warranty terms, coverage, and duration are set by each manufacturer. Issues involving defects, repairs, or replacements must be addressed with the manufacturer’s support team. When available, the warranty period is listed on the product page. If it is not shown, contact us or the manufacturer for details before purchasing.
To start a claim, the customer must contact the manufacturer and follow their process. Keep your proof of purchase and original packaging, and register the product if the manufacturer requires it, as these are often needed for warranty service.
