Overview
The Raymarine A80363 is a trolling motor mounting kit for fitting a Raymarine CPT-S transom CHIRP sonar transducer to the underside of a trolling motor or hull. It gives anglers a practical mounting option when a standard transom installation is not the right fit, especially on bow-mounted fishing setups where the transducer needs to sit close to the trolling motor housing.
This kit is made for the CPT-S transom transducer family, which supports High CHIRP sonar. The transducer is not included, so it is the right accessory when the boat already has a CPT-S transducer or when the transducer is being purchased separately.
Key features
- Fits Raymarine CPT-S transom CHIRP sonar transducers for trolling motor or underside-of-hull mounting.
- Useful for fishing boats that use a bow-mounted trolling motor and need the sonar transducer positioned at the motor.
- Helps keep the transducer close to the trolling motor body instead of relying on a transom bracket.
- Includes mounting hardware with four No. 8 / 4.2 mm x 18 mm self-tapping screws.
- Includes a 7.6 mm x 370 mm cable tie for securing the installation neatly.
- Transducer is sold separately, which helps avoid buying a second transducer when only the mounting kit is needed.
Installation and fit
The kit is intended for CPT-S transom installations where the transducer needs to be secured to a trolling motor or to the underside of the hull. Before drilling or fastening anything, confirm the transducer location with the boat in the water so the face of the transducer has a clean view below the boat and stays clear of turbulence, trailer bunks, lifting straps, and other hardware.
For trolling motor use, route the cable so it has enough slack for steering and deployment movement without rubbing against the shaft, propeller area, or sharp edges. A tidy cable path matters on fishing boats because the trolling motor is handled often, and poor cable routing can lead to strain or snagging over time.
Compatibility and use on board
This is a mounting accessory, not an electrical adapter or sonar module. It does not change the sonar performance, connector type, display compatibility, or CHIRP capability of the CPT-S transducer itself. Match it with the correct Raymarine CPT-S transom transducer and confirm the transducer connection required by the display or sonar system already on board.
It is a good match for small boats, bass boats, skiffs, and inshore fishing setups where the trolling motor is a key part of boat control. It also suits refits where the CPT-S transducer is being moved from a transom-style location to a trolling motor mounting point.
