Overview
The Garmin 010-10192-21 is a P66 600 W transom-mount transducer that runs at 50/200 kHz with an 8-pin connector for Garmin sonar systems.
It reports depth, water speed, and water temperature from one transom-mounted housing, with a 25 ft cable for routing back to the display or sounder module. Depth performance is listed at 800 to 1,200 ft, and beamwidth ranges from 45 degrees at 50 kHz to 11 degrees at 200 kHz.
This is a conventional dual-frequency transducer that mounts on a 2 to 20 degree transom angle, making it a practical match for many outboard and sterndrive boats where you want depth plus speed and temperature without adding separate sensors.
Key features
- 600 W conventional sonar at 50/200 kHz for dual-frequency depth sounding
- Beamwidth ranges from 45 degrees (50 kHz) to 11 degrees (200 kHz) for broad coverage or tighter target definition
- Depth, speed, and temperature reporting in one transom-mount unit
- 8-pin connection with a 25 ft cable
- Supports a 2 to 20 degree transom angle
- Adapter cable 010-11612-00 is required when connecting to a 6-pin Garmin sounder
Compatibility and fit
Confirm your sonar device or sounder module has an 8-pin transducer port before ordering. This model is used with Garmin systems such as the GSD 24, and it can be connected to certain 6-pin Garmin sounders when paired with the 010-11612-00 adapter cable.
The transducer operates at 50/200 kHz and is intended for traditional 2D sonar use. If your system is set up for CHIRP or imaging-style transducers, match the connector type and sonar requirements to avoid buying a transducer that your unit cannot drive.
Installation and setup
Transom mounting works best when the transducer face sits in clean water flow. On most boats that means a location just inboard of the prop’s path, away from strakes, steps, and thru-hulls that can aerate the water and cause the bottom reading to drop out at speed.
Plan cable routing before you drill, protect the cable where it passes through the transom, and seal all fasteners and penetrations to keep water out of the core. After the first few runs, recheck hardware tightness and adjust the angle if you see spray, rooster tailing, or intermittent readings.
Use cases on board
This setup is a good match for coastal cruising and fishing boats that want one transom-mounted sensor to cover depth, speed for dialing in trolling pace, and temperature for tracking water changes. Switching between 50 kHz and 200 kHz lets you trade coverage for detail depending on where and how you run.
Maintenance and care
Rinse the transducer after saltwater use and keep marine growth off the acoustic face, since fouling can weaken the return signal. If your boat lives in the water, inspect the paddlewheel area regularly and clear any debris so speed readings stay consistent.
Shipping
We ship worldwide from the United States. Rates are calculated at checkout based on destination and package weight. Some items include free shipping, which will show automatically.
