Overview
The Raymarine E70534-00-NAG is a 9-inch chart display and sonar-capable fishfinder head unit for 12 V boats, supplied without a transducer and bundled with Navionics+ USA and Canada charts. It uses the Element 9 HV platform, with an 800 x 480 sunlight-viewable display rated at 1500 nits, an internal GPS/GNSS receiver, and an 8 to 16 V DC operating range.
This package makes sense when you already have a transducer plan and want the display, mapping, and network side of the system sorted. When paired with a compatible HyperVision transducer, the unit supports 1.2 MHz HyperVision imaging, 350 kHz imaging, and 200 kHz CHIRP sonar with DownVision, SideVision, and RealVision 3D views.
On a small center console, bay boat, bass boat, or trailerable pilothouse, it gives you a dedicated 9-inch screen with keypad control, quick chart redraw, and a housing rated IPX6 and IPX7 for spray, rain, and routine washdowns.
Key features
- 9-inch WVGA display with 1500-nit brightness for open-helm visibility in full sun
- Display-only package with Navionics+ USA and Canada charts; transducer is not included
- Internal GPS/GNSS receiver for standalone positioning and chart use
- Supports HyperVision 1.2 MHz, 350 kHz imaging, and 200 kHz CHIRP sonar when matched with a compatible transducer
- SeaTalkng / NMEA 2000 connection through the supplied power cable, plus 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi and one microSDXC card slot
- Approximate power draw of 20 W at 12 V DC, with 5 A inline fuse or 3 A thermal breaker requirement
- IPX6 and IPX7 waterproof rating with operating temperature range from -25 C to +55 C
Compatibility and fit
The no-transducer version is useful for repowers, replacing a damaged display, or building a system around a separate compatible HyperVision transducer choice. It also fits boats where you want the chartplotter at the helm now but need to decide later between transom, thru-hull, or other transducer mounting approaches.
Network connection is through SeaTalkng / NMEA 2000, and the display also includes Wi-Fi plus a microSDXC card slot for charts and recorded data. It supports Navionics, Raymarine LightHouse Charts, and C-MAP charting, which helps when you run different chart formats across seasons or cruising areas.
Installation and setup
Power is 12 V DC nominal and the unit operates from 8 to 16 V DC, so it suits typical small-boat electrical systems. It is not a direct 24 V unit. The package includes trunnion and surface-mount hardware, along with a power / NMEA 2000 cable, which helps when the helm already has room planned for a 9-inch display.
Sonar performance depends on the transducer you pair with it and how that transducer is installed in the hull or on the transom. If this is going in as a replacement Element HV display, check the existing transducer and network wiring before reusing them.
Use on board
This setup suits anglers who want a dedicated 9-inch screen and already know which transducer they want to run, or who need to replace a failed display without buying a second transducer. It also works well at helms where keypad control matters, such as open boats that are often used with wet hands or gloves.
