Compatibility and fit

This replacement cap is intended for Perko 0582 angled-neck and 0583 straight-neck vented fills. Those fill bodies are commonly used with 1-1/2" fill hose, so this part is a good match when the existing fill remains in service and only the cap needs replacement.

It is not a universal cap for every deck fill, and it should not be used on sealed EPA fuel systems. On older boats with separate deck fills for fuel or water, matching the cap style matters because the cap needs to suit the fill body already installed on the deck.

Installation and setup

Replacement is straightforward: remove the worn cap, check that the fill neck and sealing surface are clean, and fit the new cap with the correct insert for the tank below.
