Overview
The Garmin 010-11600-00 is an alkaline battery pack that lets a compatible Rino 610, 650, or 655t handheld run on four AA batteries when you need simple backup power away from charging. It’s a drop-in pack that sits inside the battery compartment, so there are no external wires to route or keep dry.
On a boat, this is a practical way to keep a Rino powered for dinghy runs, shore excursions, or as a spare handheld that lives in a ditch bag. AA cells are easy to find in marinas and coastal towns, and carrying a sealed spare set helps avoid downtime when your primary power option is unavailable.
Key features
- Compatible fit for Garmin Rino 610, 650, and 655t handhelds
- Holds 4 AA batteries for on-the-go power (batteries not included)
- Swap-in internal pack that installs under the battery cover with no external cabling
- Useful as a stowed backup power option for tender trips, dockside errands, and emergency kits
What’s included
- Alkaline battery pack for Garmin Rino 610, 650, and 655t
Compatibility and fit
This battery pack is intended for the Rino 610, Rino 650, and Rino 655t. If your handheld is a different Rino model or a different Garmin handheld platform, the pack may not seat correctly in the battery bay or align with the contacts.
Installation and battery handling
Load four AA batteries into the pack, following the polarity markings, then place the pack into the Rino’s battery compartment and close the battery door. AA batteries are not included, so plan to have a fresh set on hand before heading out.
For marine storage, remove the AA batteries if the unit will sit unused for long periods to reduce the risk of leakage. Keep spare cells in a watertight bag, and avoid opening the battery compartment with wet hands or spray present whenever possible.
Use cases on board
This is a good match for boaters who rely on a Rino handheld away from the helm and want a backup power path that does not depend on onboard charging. It also suits crews who keep handheld electronics in a grab bag, where having a common AA-powered option can simplify spares planning.

Quality Boat Parts is a reseller. Many items include a manufacturer’s warranty, and all warranty service is handled directly by the manufacturer. We do not manage or administer warranty claims on behalf of customers.
Warranty terms, coverage, and duration are set by each manufacturer. Issues involving defects, repairs, or replacements must be addressed with the manufacturer’s support team. When available, the warranty period is listed on the product page. If it is not shown, contact us or the manufacturer for details before purchasing.
To start a claim, the customer must contact the manufacturer and follow their process. Keep your proof of purchase and original packaging, and register the product if the manufacturer requires it, as these are often needed for warranty service.
We are happy to help you find the right contact or documentation, but we cannot decide outcomes or intervene in claim resolutions. For guidance, email cs@qualityboatparts.com.
