Overview
The Attwood Marine Standard Series is a flush mount rod holder range for boats that need a clean, below-flange installation without giving up corrosion resistance at the rail, gunwale, or cockpit. Each holder uses a polished 316-grade stainless steel tube with a standard 2 inch diameter and 7.5 inch length, giving it a familiar fit for many fishing layouts and retrofit projects.
The flange sits at deck level for a neat finish, while the gasket helps create a water seal around the mounting area. A UV-resistant polymer liner protects the finish on the rod or reel where it contacts the holder, which matters during repeated use in sun, spray, and vibration.
Key features
- Flush mount rod holder for gunwales, covering boards, transoms, and cockpit fishing stations where low-profile hardware is preferred.
- Polished 316-grade stainless steel tube helps resist corrosion in saltwater and freshwater service.
- Standard Series size with 2 inch diameter and 7.5 inch length for common rod holder cutouts and installations.
- Flange gasket helps seal the mounting surface against water intrusion around the holder.
- UV-resistant polymer liner protects the rod or reel finish where it rests inside the tube.
- Available in 30 degree, 15 degree, and 0 degree tube angles to suit different rod positions on board.
Variants
This rod holder is offered in several configurations so the installation can match the rod angle and insert color needed for the boat.
The tube angle and insert color vary by part number. The Standard Series 2 inch diameter, 7.5 inch length, polished 316-grade stainless steel tube, flange gasket, and UV-resistant polymer liner remain consistent across the range.
- 66362-7: black insert, 30 degree angle. The 30 degree angle sets the rod outward from the mounting surface, which is useful for wider trolling spreads along the gunwale or transom.
- 66363-7: black insert, 15 degree angle. The 15 degree angle gives a more moderate rod position while keeping the same black insert appearance.
- 66364-7: black insert, 0 degree angle. The 0 degree angle holds the rod vertically, which suits straight-up storage or tight layouts where rod spread is not the main goal.
- 66364W7: white insert, 0 degree angle. The white insert gives the vertical version a lighter look that can blend well with white gelcoat or lighter cockpit finishes.
Installation and fit
As a flush mount holder, this product is intended for a cutout installation through a suitable mounting surface. Before drilling, check the available space below the deck or gunwale for the 7.5 inch tube length, the selected tube angle, and the path of any wiring, hoses, flotation, or structural members below the surface.
The gasket helps with sealing around the flange, but bedding the hardware correctly is still important on any boat exposed to spray, rain, washdowns, or standing water. Fasteners and sealant should be selected to suit the mounting surface and the surrounding hardware on the vessel.
Use cases on board
This Standard Series holder is a practical match for anglers adding rod positions to center consoles, bay boats, walkarounds, dual consoles, and small offshore boats. The angled versions support active fishing layouts, while the 0 degree versions work well where vertical rod storage or a straight-up rod position is preferred.
