When it is not in use, it reduces to 38 in. x 6 in. x 5 in. for storage in the included bag.

Materials are selected for marine use, including WeatherMAX 3D fabric in black or white, a powder-coated aluminum frame, anodized aluminum parts, injection-molded nylon components, and stainless steel fasteners. Variants

The ShadeFin Mini is offered here in two fabric color configurations. Both listed configurations include the bag and round rail mount kit, with the fabric color being the visible difference.

The core shade format, coverage area, height adjustment range, and mounting style remain the same across these two variants.

• T10-4000-16: White fabric. The white fabric gives the shade a clean look that blends well with many fiberglass decks, consoles, cushions, and existing canvas.
• T10-4000-17: Black fabric. The black fabric gives the shade a darker look that pairs well with black canvas, dark upholstery, powder-coated rails, and modern trim packages.

Installation and setup

The included round rail mount kit is meant for boats with a suitable round rail location near the area that needs shade. Before installation, check that the rail position gives the shade enough swing and height clearance, and that it does not interfere with helm movement, fishing casts, boarding, or other deck traffic.

Because this is a portable shade system, it is a good match for boaters who need coverage only in certain spots or at certain times of day. It works well for open layouts such as flats boats, bay boats, bass boats, pontoons, skiffs, kayaks, and other boats where permanent shade is limited.

Materials and care

The fabric and frame are built to handle the normal conditions of marine use, including sun, moisture, and repeated setup. Rinsing the unit with fresh water after saltwater use and letting the fabric dry before storage will help keep the shade cleaner and easier to use over time.
