Variants

This portable fuel tank is offered in two configurations based on whether a fuel gauge is included.

The capacity, low-profile shape, fitting size, cap style, and overall dimensions remain the same across the two versions. The difference is the fuel-level display on the tank.

• 8812LLPG2: With gauge, Yes. The built-in gauge gives a quick visual fuel-level check before leaving the dock and during longer outings.
• 8812LLP2: With gauge, No. This version keeps the tank simpler when fuel level is tracked during refueling or checked by routine use habits.

Installation and fit

Before installing or storing the tank on board, confirm the available space against the 24 inch length, 18 inch width, and 11.61 inch height. The low height is useful under pontoon seating, in open cockpit storage areas, and anywhere a taller portable tank would interfere with covers, cushions, or access panels.

Use a compatible marine fuel hose assembly with 1/4-inch NPT fittings and route the line so it is not kinked, pinched, or rubbing against sharp edges. The tank should remain accessible for filling, cap removal, and routine inspection.

Fuel system notes

The automatic vacuum valve in the cap helps maintain fuel flow in a closed portable tank system without the user opening a manual vent. This is helpful on boats where the tank may sit in the sun, see temperature swings, or be moved between storage and operating positions.
