Overview

The Garmin 010-11270-00 is a protective carrying case for select Garmin zumo and aera GPS units, meant for safe stowage when the device is off the mount and on its way to or from the boat. It uses a hard shell with a soft interior lining, so the screen and housing are less likely to get scuffed by tools, charging cords, or other gear in a bag.

The case closes with a zipper and has external dimensions of 165 x 110 x 40 mm, which helps when you are checking fit in a helm drawer, nav station cubby, or go bag. It is built to handle wet conditions during transport, such as rain at the dock or spray on a dinghy ride, while keeping the GPS protected when it is not in use.

Key features
  • Hard-shell construction with a soft interior lining to protect the GPS screen during storage and transport
  • Zip closure that keeps the case shut in a backpack, console drawer, or gear tote
  • Waterproof case body for added protection when moving between the dock and the boat in wet weather
  • External dimensions: 165 x 110 x 40 mm for planning stowage space on board
  • Made for a range of compatible Garmin aera, SafeNav, and zumo devices (see compatibility notes below)

Compatibility and fit

This case is used with compatible Garmin aera 500, aera 510, aera 550, aera 560, and aera 660 devices, along with SafeNav Powered by Garmin, and select Garmin zumo models including zumo 340LM, 345LM, 346LMT-S, 350LM, 390LM, 395LM, 396 LMT-S, 590LM, 595LM, 660, 660LM, 665, and 665LM. If your GPS is not on this list, compare the device size to the case external dimensions before ordering.

For best fit, remove bulky cradles, mounts, or power leads before stowing the GPS. This is a storage and transport case, so the GPS is intended to be used outside the case while navigating.

Use cases on board

This case makes sense for boaters who carry a portable GPS as a backup, move electronics between a home dock and a mooring, or keep navigation gear in a grab bag when traveling. It is also a tidy way to keep a device protected in a nav desk, electronics locker, or vehicle between trips.

Maintenance and care

If the case has been exposed to salt spray or damp conditions, wipe it down with fresh water on a cloth and let it dry fully before long-term storage. Keeping the zipper area clean helps the case close smoothly and prevents grit from scratching the device when you slide it in and out.

Shipping
We ship worldwide from the United States. Rates are calculated at checkout based on destination and package weight. Some items include free shipping, which will show automatically. Not every product is eligible for international shipping; checkout will confirm eligibility. We do not ship to PO Boxes except through USPS, and not all packages qualify.

Processing and dispatch
Most orders are verified, packed, and handed to the carrier within 1 to 2 business days. Some products may need extra handling time or ship directly from the manufacturer. For certain international orders, inventory transfers between warehouses may add time. If any delay is expected, we will let you know the dispatch date.

Delivery and tracking
Deliveries are handled by trusted carriers such as USPS, UPS, FedEx, and DHL. Estimated arrival times appear at checkout and depend on your location and the service you choose. These are estimates and can be affected by customs or carrier disruptions. A shipping confirmation with a tracking link is emailed when your order ships, and tracking may take up to 24 hours to update. You can also view tracking in your account.

Duties, taxes, and support
International customers are responsible for any customs duties, taxes, and fees charged by the destination country. If these charges are refused and a shipment returns to us, the carrier’s return cost and any re-entry customs fees will be deducted from the refund. If your order is late or you need help, contact cs@qualityboatparts.com and we will assist you.

Quality Boat Parts is a reseller. Many items include a manufacturer’s warranty, and all warranty service is handled directly by the manufacturer. We do not manage or administer warranty claims on behalf of customers.

Warranty terms, coverage, and duration are set by each manufacturer. Issues involving defects, repairs, or replacements must be addressed with the manufacturer’s support team. When available, the warranty period is listed on the product page. If it is not shown, contact us or the manufacturer for details before purchasing.

To start a claim, the customer must contact the manufacturer and follow their process. Keep your proof of purchase and original packaging, and register the product if the manufacturer requires it, as these are often needed for warranty service.

We are happy to help you find the right contact or documentation, but we cannot decide outcomes or intervene in claim resolutions. For guidance, email cs@qualityboatparts.com.
