Overview

The Perko 0424DP0CHR is a watertight cable outlet for 5/16 inch outside diameter cable, made from brass with a chrome-plated finish. It uses a rubber grommet to seal around the cable jacket and mounts on a 1-1/4 inch base with #4 screws.

This fitting is used where a cable needs to pass through an exposed surface without leaving an open path for water around the jacket. The chrome-plated brass body also works well in visible locations where the hardware finish matters as much as the seal itself.

Installation and fit

Fit is based on the cable jacket outside diameter, so measure the finished cable before ordering rather than going by conductor size alone. A cable that is materially smaller or larger than 5/16 inch will not seat in the grommet the same way.

The 1-1/4 inch base and #4 screw size suit smaller cable runs on a deck, cabin top, console, or similar surface where you want a neat pass-through without stepping up to a larger deck gland. It is a sensible choice for permanent cable runs where a simple sealed outlet is all that is needed.
