Overview

The Blue Sea Systems 1015 is a 12V DC plug and dash socket set for boats that need a more secure accessory connection than a loose standard outlet. It combines the 1010 plug and the 1011 dash socket, with a twist-lock connection that helps the plug stay seated in chop and vibration. The included plug has an ON LED and a built-in 10 Amp fuse, and the socket fits a 1 1/8 in (28.58 mm) cutout.

This setup makes sense at the helm, in the cabin, or anywhere you power portable 12V gear and want the connection to stay put. The plug uses a moisture-proof sealing ring around the shaft, and the socket has a watertight cap to help keep out spray when the outlet is not in use.

It is a good match for boats that run handheld electronics, spotlights, inflators, or other 12V accessories and need a plug-and-socket pair that holds better underway. Current-carrying parts use nickel-plated copper alloy, and the socket can be mounted from the front panel, rear panel, or on a surface.

Key features
  • 12V DC plug and dash socket set with one 1010 plug and one 1011 socket
  • Plug includes an ON LED and a built-in 10 Amp fuse
  • Socket is rated for 15A max and installs in a 1 1/8 in (28.58 mm) cutout
  • Twist-lock connection helps prevent the plug from backing out in vibration
  • Moisture-proof sealing ring on the plug and a watertight cap on the socket help keep out spray
  • Large contact surfaces support a firm electrical connection
  • Internal strain relief and cord seal help protect the cable entry point
  • Nickel-plated copper alloy is used for all current-carrying components
  • Socket supports front panel, rear panel, or surface mounting
Installation and setup

This set is built for 12V DC systems, so it fits boats already wired for a 12V accessory outlet. The 1 1/8 in cutout size is useful when you are adding a new socket at the dash or replacing an older outlet in the same area. The mounting options also help when there is limited access behind a panel.

Because the plug includes its own 10 Amp fuse, it suits accessory loads that stay within that limit. For marine installs, it works best where you want a removable power point but do not want the plug shaking loose every time the boat pounds into chop or wake.

Processing and dispatch
Most orders are verified, packed, and handed to the carrier within 1 to 2 business days. Some products may need extra handling time or ship directly from the manufacturer. For certain international orders, inventory transfers between warehouses may add time. If any delay is expected, we will let you know the dispatch date.

These are estimates and can be affected by customs or carrier disruptions. A shipping confirmation with a tracking link is emailed when your order ships, and tracking may take up to 24 hours to update. You can also view tracking in your account.

Duties, taxes, and support
International customers are responsible for any customs duties, taxes, and fees charged by the destination country. If your order is late or you need help, contact cs@qualityboatparts.com and we will assist you.

Quality Boat Parts is a reseller. Many items include a manufacturer’s warranty, and all warranty service is handled directly by the manufacturer. We do not manage or administer warranty claims on behalf of customers.

Warranty terms, coverage, and duration are set by each manufacturer. Issues involving defects, repairs, or replacements must be addressed with the manufacturer’s support team. When available, the warranty period is listed on the product page. If it is not shown, contact us or the manufacturer for details before purchasing.

To start a claim, the customer must contact the manufacturer and follow their process. Keep your proof of purchase and original packaging, and register the product if the manufacturer requires it, as these are often needed for warranty service.

We are happy to help you find the right contact or documentation, but we cannot decide outcomes or intervene in claim resolutions. For guidance, email cs@qualityboatparts.com.
