Overview
The Attwood Marine 91022-7 is an oval 2-pin base for angled pole lights with locking collars. It mounts in tight spots such as narrow gunwales and deck sections, and it sets the pole at a 7.5 degree angle. The black polymer housing measures 1-11/16 inch wide by 2-5/8 inch high, so it fits where a larger base can be awkward.
This base is built for everyday marine exposure. The socket is covered by soft rubber with a molded-in gasket to help keep moisture and debris out when the pole light is removed, while nickel-plated contacts, multi-crimped connections, and tinned wire leads help the electrical side hold up better around spray, washdowns, and vibration.
Key features
- Oval 2-pin base for angled Attwood pole lights that use a locking collar
- 7.5 degree socket angle suits narrow gunwales and deck mounting areas
- Soft rubber cover with a molded-in gasket helps keep the socket cleaner and drier when the light is stowed
- Nickel-plated contacts with multi-crimp construction help reduce corrosion at the connection point
- Tinned wire leads are better suited to marine wiring runs than bare copper leads
- Compatible with Attwood locking-collar pole light series including 5110, 5310, 5330, 5340, 5530, 5540, and 5091-10-7
Compatibility and fit
This base is for angled plug-in pole lights with Attwood's 2-pin locking-collar connection. It is a good match when you are replacing the same style base or setting up a pole light where deck space is tight. It is not the right choice for straight-pole bases or for other pin layouts, so it is worth checking the pole style and the socket pattern before ordering.
Because the housing is compact, it works well on smaller transoms, cockpit corners, and other spots where a wider base can interfere with lines, covers, or foot traffic. The black finish also keeps the base visually understated on darker trim and hardware.
Installation and setup
The 91022-7 uses wire leads for connection into the boat's navigation light circuit, so installation is straightforward for a replacement or a fresh rig. Support the wiring below the mounting surface and make clean, sealed splices so the connection stays stable as the boat pounds through chop and the pole is removed and reinstalled over time.
This part does not determine system voltage on its own. The electrical load and lamp style come from the pole light used with it, so the important fit points are the angled 2-pin locking-collar connection, the mounting space, and the matching light series.
Use on board
This base makes sense on boats that use removable all-round or navigation pole lights and do not have much room around the mounting spot. It suits owners replacing a worn pole base on a fishing boat, runabout, or small cruiser where the socket needs to stay protected when the light is off the boat.

Quality Boat Parts is a reseller. Many items include a manufacturer’s warranty, and all warranty service is handled directly by the manufacturer. We do not manage or administer warranty claims on behalf of customers.
Warranty terms, coverage, and duration are set by each manufacturer. Issues involving defects, repairs, or replacements must be addressed with the manufacturer’s support team. When available, the warranty period is listed on the product page. If it is not shown, contact us or the manufacturer for details before purchasing.
To start a claim, the customer must contact the manufacturer and follow their process. Keep your proof of purchase and original packaging, and register the product if the manufacturer requires it, as these are often needed for warranty service.
