Overview

The Raymarine A80801 is a B175MW 1 kW CHIRP-ready tilted-element thru-hull transducer with a 20 deg tilt, bronze housing, depth sensing, and fast-response water temperature sensing. It works in the medium CHIRP band from 60 to 100 kHz and uses a wide beam pattern of 57 deg to 73 deg port to starboard, with a 16 deg average beam fore and aft.

This transducer is built for fishing boats that need wide sonar coverage under the hull without using a large external fairing block. The low-profile thru-hull body sits close to the hull, while the tilted ceramic element helps aim the sonar beam downward when matched to the vessel deadrise. Depth tracking is rated down to 400 m, or 1,300 ft, and the 40 kHz total bandwidth gives anglers a useful medium-frequency view for fish targets and structure in mid-depth water.

Key features
  • 1 kW CHIRP-ready single-band transducer for compatible Raymarine sonar systems.
  • Medium frequency range of 60 to 100 kHz for mid-depth fishing and target separation.
  • Wide 57 deg to 73 deg port-starboard beam gives broad coverage below the boat.
  • 20 deg tilted element helps compensate for hull deadrise and aim the beam vertically.
  • Bronze thru-hull housing is specified for fiberglass or wood hulls.
  • Depth and fast-response water temperature sensing in one thru-hull fitting.
  • Low-profile mounting style supports clean water flow across the face when installed correctly.
  • 9 m, or 30 ft, cable length supports routing from the hull location to the sonar electronics.
  • 95 mm, or 3-3/4 in, hole size and 2.7 kg, or 6 lb, weight are key planning details for installation.
  • Xducer ID technology helps compatible systems identify the connected transducer.
Installation and fit

The A80801 is a tilted-element thru-hull transducer, so the hull location, deadrise, and internal access all matter before drilling. The 20 deg tilt should be selected only where that angle matches the hull shape well enough to keep the sonar beam aimed downward. The listed maximum deadrise angle is 24 deg.

The bronze housing is specified for fiberglass or wood hulls, including stepped, planing, and displacement hulls. It should not be treated as a universal fitting for metal hulls. The installation requires a 95 mm, or 3-3/4 in, hole and enough inside clearance for the housing, nut, cable bend, and service access.

Sonar performance on board

The B175MW is a strong match for anglers who want broad coverage in the water column, especially when searching for pelagic fish or scanning a wider area beneath the boat. The medium-wide CHIRP band is useful when a narrow beam would miss targets off to the sides, while still giving enough detail for practical fish-finding work.

Because this is a 1 kW transducer, it should be paired with sonar electronics that support a 1 kW CHIRP thru-hull transducer and the 60 to 100 kHz operating band. The 9 m cable should be routed away from sources of electrical noise and protected from sharp bends, standing water, and chafe along the run.

Maintenance and care

After installation, keep the transducer face clean and free of heavy marine growth so the acoustic window can send and receive clean returns. Inspect the thru-hull area during haul-outs, confirm the fitting remains secure, and check the cable path for abrasion or strain before long fishing trips or offshore runs.

Shipping
We ship worldwide from the United States. Rates are calculated at checkout based on destination and package weight. Some items include free shipping, which will show automatically. Not every product is eligible for international shipping; checkout will confirm eligibility. We do not ship to PO Boxes except through USPS, and not all packages qualify.

Processing and dispatch
Most orders are verified, packed, and handed to the carrier within 1 to 2 business days. Some products may need extra handling time or ship directly from the manufacturer. For certain international orders, inventory transfers between warehouses may add time. If any delay is expected, we will let you know the dispatch date.

Delivery and tracking
Deliveries are handled by trusted carriers such as USPS, UPS, FedEx, and DHL. Estimated arrival times appear at checkout and depend on your location and the service you choose. These are estimates and can be affected by customs or carrier disruptions. A shipping confirmation with a tracking link is emailed when your order ships, and tracking may take up to 24 hours to update. You can also view tracking in your account.

Duties, taxes, and support
International customers are responsible for any customs duties, taxes, and fees charged by the destination country. If these charges are refused and a shipment returns to us, the carrier’s return cost and any re-entry customs fees will be deducted from the refund. If your order is late or you need help, contact cs@qualityboatparts.com and we will assist you.

Quality Boat Parts is a reseller. Many items include a manufacturer’s warranty, and all warranty service is handled directly by the manufacturer. We do not manage or administer warranty claims on behalf of customers.

Warranty terms, coverage, and duration are set by each manufacturer. Issues involving defects, repairs, or replacements must be addressed with the manufacturer’s support team. When available, the warranty period is listed on the product page. If it is not shown, contact us or the manufacturer for details before purchasing.

To start a claim, the customer must contact the manufacturer and follow their process. Keep your proof of purchase and original packaging, and register the product if the manufacturer requires it, as these are often needed for warranty service.

We are happy to help you find the right contact or documentation, but we cannot decide outcomes or intervene in claim resolutions. For guidance, email cs@qualityboatparts.com.
