Overview
The TACO Marine F11-1001AS-1 is a stainless steel jaw slide for 7/8 in O.D. tube on bimini tops, canvas frames, and other marine shade hardware. It uses TACO Marine's Ball & Socket pivot design, which allows full rotation at the connection point so the frame hardware can align cleanly as the top is raised, lowered, or adjusted.
The body is made from Type-316L polished stainless steel, a practical material choice for exposed deck and cockpit hardware where salt spray, UV exposure, and vibration are part of normal use. A Delrin insert helps the slide grip the tube tightly while keeping movement smooth and reducing frame rattle.
This version uses a set screw fastener, making it a good match when replacing worn bimini hardware or building a frame where a secure jaw slide is needed on 7/8 in tubing.
Key features
- Fits 7/8 in O.D. tubing used on many bimini and canvas support frames.
- Ball & Socket pivot design allows full rotation at the fitting for easier frame alignment.
- Type-316L polished stainless steel construction suits exposed marine hardware locations.
- Delrin insert helps create a tight fit, smooth movement, and reduced rattling on the tube.
- Set screw fastening style supports a secure connection without relying on a pop rivet version.
- Covered by a 5-year limited warranty.
Installation and fit
Confirm the outside diameter of the tube before installation. This jaw slide is made for 7/8 in O.D. tubing, so it should not be forced onto a larger tube or used on undersized tubing where the insert cannot hold properly.
During installation, position the fitting where the connected eye end or frame section can move through its normal range without binding. The rotating Ball & Socket connection is useful on bimini frames because it helps the hardware follow the angle of the canvas frame instead of stressing the tube or hinge point.
Use on board
This fitting is most useful for boat owners repairing or refreshing bimini top hardware, especially when the existing jaw slide has loosened, corroded, or started to rattle. It also works well for new canvas frame builds that need a clean stainless fitting on 7/8 in tubing.
The polished stainless finish fits visually with other deck and cockpit hardware, while the Delrin insert helps keep the frame quiet when the boat is running through chop or moving at the dock.

Quality Boat Parts is a reseller. Many items include a manufacturer’s warranty, and all warranty service is handled directly by the manufacturer. We do not manage or administer warranty claims on behalf of customers.
Warranty terms, coverage, and duration are set by each manufacturer. Issues involving defects, repairs, or replacements must be addressed with the manufacturer’s support team. When available, the warranty period is listed on the product page. If it is not shown, contact us or the manufacturer for details before purchasing.
To start a claim, the customer must contact the manufacturer and follow their process. Keep your proof of purchase and original packaging, and register the product if the manufacturer requires it, as these are often needed for warranty service.
