Overview

The Garmin 010-12236-00 is a mast bracket that mounts two GNX 120 instrument displays on a sailboat mast.

It fits mast diameters from 115 to 200 mm (4 to 8 in.) and weighs about 1.37 kg (3.0 lb.) for the bracket only. The front panel is anodized aluminum with carbon-fiber side panels, and the sun cover material is neoprene.

This setup is meant for a tidy mast install where the display cabling routes through the rear panels and back into your NMEA 2000 network.

Key features
  • Mounts two GNX 120 instrument displays in a single mast location for easy viewing on deck.
  • Fits mast diameters from 115 to 200 mm (4 to 8 in.).
  • Two-device bracket weight (bracket only): 1.37 kg (3.0 lb.).
  • Anodized aluminum front panel with carbon-fiber side panels.
  • NMEA 2000 backbone cable is included to extend your network up to the mast.
  • Assembly hardware is included; mast mounting hardware is not included.
Compatibility and fit

This bracket is for mounting two Garmin GNX 120 displays. Check that your mast diameter falls within the 115 to 200 mm range and that you have a mounting spot that stays clear of lines, sail covers, and hardware during normal sailing.

If you plan to use the snap-on sun cover, leave access to both the top and bottom edges of the bracket so the snaps can be fastened.

Installation and setup

The bracket-mounting arms are not pre-drilled, so the hole pattern is set by your mast and your preferred fasteners. Plan your layout, drill to suit the spar, and use mounting hardware that matches your mast material and wall thickness.

Bracket assembly hardware is supplied, but the fasteners that secure the bracket to the mast are chosen and purchased separately.

Network and cabling

The NMEA 2000 T-connectors and right-angle drop cables used to connect the instruments are included with the marine instruments. A NMEA 2000 backbone cable comes with the bracket to extend the backbone up to the assembled displays; if your routing needs more length, use a longer backbone cable.

What's included
  • Two-device carbon-fiber mast bracket assembly
  • Hardware to assemble the bracket
  • NMEA 2000 backbone cable
  • Neoprene sun cover
Use on board

This style of mast mount works well on race boats where the bow and trimming crew want wind and performance data close to the action. It also suits cruising sailboats that keep GNX 120 data at the mast for sail handling, reefing, and anchoring work.

Maintenance and care

Rinse salt and grime off the bracket during routine washdowns and check mounting fasteners as part of seasonal rig inspections. Keep the sun cover clean and dry before stowing to help prevent mildew and keep the snaps working smoothly.

Quality Boat Parts is a reseller. Many items include a manufacturer’s warranty, and all warranty service is handled directly by the manufacturer. We do not manage or administer warranty claims on behalf of customers.

Warranty terms, coverage, and duration are set by each manufacturer. Issues involving defects, repairs, or replacements must be addressed with the manufacturer’s support team. When available, the warranty period is listed on the product page. If it is not shown, contact us or the manufacturer for details before purchasing.

To start a claim, the customer must contact the manufacturer and follow their process. Keep your proof of purchase and original packaging, and register the product if the manufacturer requires it, as these are often needed for warranty service.

We are happy to help you find the right contact or documentation, but we cannot decide outcomes or intervene in claim resolutions. For guidance, email cs@qualityboatparts.com.
