Overview
The Attwood Marine 8882-6 is a Mercury/Mariner twist-lock female tank fitting for the tank end of a fuel line. It uses a 1/4-inch NPT threaded connection, a nylon body, and a 90-degree elbow in a 2-piece layout that helps when space around the tank outlet is limited.
This fitting is used on the tank side of a Mercury/Mariner fuel line assembly and mates with Attwood 14532-6. It is also suitable for leaded, unleaded, ethanol-blended, and alcohol-blended fuels, which is useful on boats that see different fuel blends through the season.
Key features
- Mercury/Mariner twist-lock female fitting for the tank side of the fuel line
- 1/4-inch NPT threaded connection for tanks that use a standard threaded port
- 90-degree elbow helps route the fuel line where a straight fitting would crowd the hose
- 2-piece construction
- Nylon material construction
- Mates with Attwood 14532-6
- Suitable for leaded, unleaded, ethanol-blended, and alcohol-blended fuels
Compatibility and fit
This part belongs on Mercury/Mariner twist-lock fuel systems and is intended for the tank side, not the engine side. Before ordering, check the connector style and confirm that your tank port is 1/4-inch NPT. If your setup uses a different connector family or a hose barb instead of a threaded tank port, this fitting will not match.
Installation and setup
The 90-degree elbow is useful where the outlet sits close to a tank handle, transom wall, or splashwell and the hose needs to turn cleanly without a hard bend. Apply thread sealant to the NPT threads during installation and orient the elbow so the fuel line leaves the tank without kinking or rubbing.
This fitting is a good match for boats that run a Mercury/Mariner outboard and use a twist-lock tank connection. It also works well as a replacement when the existing tank fitting is worn, leaks at the connection point, or no longer locks onto the hose fitting cleanly.

Quality Boat Parts is a reseller. Many items include a manufacturer’s warranty, and all warranty service is handled directly by the manufacturer. We do not manage or administer warranty claims on behalf of customers.
Warranty terms, coverage, and duration are set by each manufacturer. Issues involving defects, repairs, or replacements must be addressed with the manufacturer’s support team. When available, the warranty period is listed on the product page. If it is not shown, contact us or the manufacturer for details before purchasing.
To start a claim, the customer must contact the manufacturer and follow their process. Keep your proof of purchase and original packaging, and register the product if the manufacturer requires it, as these are often needed for warranty service.
