Overview

The Garmin 010-11828-40 is a rechargeable lithium-ion battery pack for Garmin TT 15 mini and T 5 mini dog devices, used as a replacement pack or a charged spare. Battery runtime is about 16 to 30 hours per charge.

The pack installs inside the dog device and is held in place with the included battery bracket and screws. It is not compatible with the full-size TT 15 or T 5 dog devices, so the model name on the device should include mini.

Installation and setup

This pack is meant to be swapped into the battery compartment of the TT 15 mini or T 5 mini device. Plan to do the change in a clean, dry spot so the compartment stays free of grit and moisture, then confirm the pack is seated and secured before closing everything back up.

For best results, charge the pack fully before the first use and after longer periods in storage so the device starts the day at 100%.

Use and care on a boat

If you keep your training gear aboard, store the spare battery and hardware in a small dry box so salt spray and humidity do not get to it. When swapping dockside or on deck, keep track of the small screws and bracket so they do not end up overboard.
