Overview
The Garmin 010-12407-02 is a trolling-motor barrel mount kit that secures a Panoptix PS21 transducer to the motor barrel on the lower unit. It uses a clamp-style attachment and a toothed adjustment interface so you can set the transducer angle and lock it down once the view is lined up.
This mount is built for bow installs where you want the transducer tight to the motor body, with no drilling into the trolling motor housing. It fits a range of barrel diameters, including those found on popular Minn Kota and MotorGuide trolling motors.
Key features
- Barrel-mount hardware for mounting a Panoptix PS21 transducer on the trolling motor lower unit
- Toothed adjustment interface for setting and holding the transducer angle after alignment
- Clamp-style installation that fits many barrel diameters, including common Minn Kota and MotorGuide barrels
- Simple tighten-and-check setup that stays accessible for post-launch tweaks and re-alignment
What’s included
- Mounting bracket
- Hose clamp
- Thumb screw
Installation and setup
Position the bracket on the trolling motor barrel where the transducer will clear the skeg, prop, and any weed guards through the full steering range. Tighten the hose clamp evenly, set the transducer angle on the toothed interface, then secure it with the thumb screw. After the first short run, re-check fasteners and make any small alignment changes while the boat is still in the water.
Plan the cable route so it does not pinch during stow and deploy. Leave a gentle service loop near the motor so steering and lift motion do not pull on the transducer lead.
Compatibility and fit
This kit is intended for Panoptix PS21 transducer mounting on the barrel of a trolling motor. Fit depends on the shape and available space around your specific motor’s lower unit, so confirm you have clearance for the transducer body and cable before final tightening.
Use on board
This is a practical match for anglers running a bow-mounted Panoptix PS21 who want a stable forward-looking view while hovering over structure, working shorelines, or tracking fish in real time. It also helps when you need repeatable transducer positioning after trailering or when moving between freshwater and coastal trips.
Maintenance and care
Rinse the mount with fresh water after saltwater use and periodically inspect the clamp and fasteners for tightness. If you regularly fish in heavy vegetation or bump bottom, add a quick visual check to your pre-launch routine to confirm the transducer has not shifted.
