Overview
The TACO Marine Flex Trim V30-1312 is a flexible PVC trim made to cover unfinished boat edges with a 3/8 inch opening and 5/8 inch width. It is used where a clean edge finish is needed around fiberglass panels, hatches, cockpit liners, consoles, interior panels, pontoon areas, or other trim edges that follow a curve.
The trim has individual internal aluminum clips with a gripping tongue, helping it hold onto the edge while still allowing the PVC body to follow contours and radius changes. It is available in 25 ft rolls for smaller jobs and a 250 ft roll for larger refit, production, or multi-area installations.
Key features
- 3/8 inch opening fits compatible unfinished edges where a finished trim line is needed.
- 5/8 inch trim width gives the edge a clean finished look without adding bulky profile height.
- Flexible PVC body follows curves, corners, and changing contours on boat interiors and exterior trim areas.
- Individual internal aluminum clips and gripping tongue help the trim seat securely on the edge.
- Black and white color options support common boat trim, liner, console, and deck color schemes.
- 25 ft and 250 ft length options cover both small replacement jobs and larger installation runs.
- Backed by a 5-year limited warranty.
Variants
This Flex Trim is offered in multiple configurations based on roll length and color. The 3/8 inch opening and 5/8 inch trim width are consistent across the listed variants.
The shorter rolls suit localized edge finishing and replacement work, while the longer roll supports larger projects where continuous trim runs or repeated installations are needed.
- V30-1312B25-1: 25 ft length, black. This option works well where a darker trim line matches consoles, black hardware, rub rail details, or darker panel edges.
- V30-1312W25-1: 25 ft length, white. This option suits smaller repairs or trim replacement on white fiberglass, liners, hatches, and cockpit areas.
- V30-1312W250: 250 ft length, white. This longer roll is practical for refits, shop use, or installations that need the same white trim across several sections of the boat.
Installation and fit
Before installation, confirm that the edge thickness matches the 3/8 inch opening. The trim is meant to be pressed onto a compatible unfinished edge, with the internal clip and gripping tongue helping it stay in position as it follows the shape of the surface.
For the cleanest result, plan the run before cutting, especially around curves and corners. Cut only after checking the full path, then finish the end neatly so it sits cleanly against the adjoining trim, panel, or corner detail.
Use cases on board
This trim is a practical match for boat owners, builders, and repair shops cleaning up exposed edges after panel work, upholstery changes, hatch repairs, pontoon updates, or cockpit and cabin refinishing. It is especially useful where a rigid trim would be harder to work around radius changes.
Because it covers rough or unfinished edges, it also helps reduce snag points around areas that passengers, gear, lines, or cushions may contact during normal use on board.
Maintenance and care
After installation, clean the trim with mild boat soap and fresh water as part of normal washdowns. Avoid harsh solvents or abrasive tools that can mark PVC or dull the surface finish over time.
Shipping
We ship worldwide from the United States. Rates are calculated at checkout based on destination and package weight. Some items include free shipping, which will show automatically. If your order is late or you need help, contact cs@qualityboatparts.com and we will assist you.
Quality Boat Parts is a reseller. Many items include a manufacturer’s warranty, and all warranty service is handled directly by the manufacturer. We do not manage or administer warranty claims on behalf of customers.
Warranty terms, coverage, and duration are set by each manufacturer. Issues involving defects, repairs, or replacements must be addressed with the manufacturer’s support team. When available, the warranty period is listed on the product page. If it is not shown, contact us or the manufacturer for details before purchasing.
To start a claim, the customer must contact the manufacturer and follow their process. Keep your proof of purchase and original packaging, and register the product if the manufacturer requires it, as these are often needed for warranty service.
We are happy to help you find the right contact or documentation, but we cannot decide outcomes or intervene in claim resolutions. For guidance, email cs@qualityboatparts.com.
