Overview

The Garmin 010-C1220-00 is a Navionics Vision+ electronic chart card (NVAE022R) that loads Sumatra regional cartography on compatible Garmin chartplotters that accept a microSD/SD card.

Coverage focuses on coastal navigation around the Malay Peninsula from Phuket, Thailand to Singapore, plus portions of Indonesia including Java and the entire island of Sumatra. The region also includes areas such as Christmas Island and the Cocos Islands, along with ports including Jakarta, Malacca, and Kuantan.

Vision+ adds premium chart layers such as high-resolution relief shading, satellite imagery overlays, and 3D views, with a one-year subscription for daily updates through the ActiveCaptain app. Feature availability can vary by region and by local chart detail.

Key features
  • Region code NVAE022R with coverage spanning Phuket to Singapore, plus Java and all of Sumatra, and nearby islands and major ports in the area
  • microSD/SD chart media that plugs directly into a compatible Garmin chartplotter
  • One-year subscription included for daily chart updates and additional content through the ActiveCaptain app
  • Auto Guidance+ suggested routing that accounts for user-entered safe depth and overhead clearance for trip planning
  • Premium visual layers such as high-resolution relief shading, satellite imagery overlays, and 3D perspectives where supported in the region
Compatibility and fit

This chart is meant for Garmin chartplotters that support Garmin Navionics Vision+ mapping and have a microSD/SD card slot. The card needs to remain inserted while you want the charts and Vision+ layers available on the display.

If you run multiple displays, the chart data is accessed from the unit with the card installed, so plan card location based on where you want full chart access.

Installation and updates

Setup is straightforward: insert the card into the chartplotter and select the chart layer from the chart menu. For updates, use the ActiveCaptain app to download daily chart updates to the card; after the included year, updates continue through an annual subscription.

Auto Guidance+ and other routing tools are for planning support only. Always cross-check suggested routes against local conditions, markers, depth sounder readings, and any notices that apply to your area.

Use cases on board

This coverage makes sense for coastal cruising, charter operations, or deliveries in the Strait of Malacca corridor and Indonesian waters around Sumatra and Java, where clear port approaches and shoreline detail matter. It also helps when you are working into unfamiliar harbors and want satellite imagery or shaded relief for added context.

Care and handling

Keep the card dry and free of salt residue, and avoid inserting or removing it during washdowns. If the card contacts get damp or salty, let it dry fully and wipe gently before reinstalling.

Shipping
We ship worldwide from the United States. Rates are calculated at checkout based on destination and package weight. Some items include free shipping, which will show automatically. Not every product is eligible for international shipping; checkout will confirm eligibility. We do not ship to PO Boxes except through USPS, and not all packages qualify.

Processing and dispatch
Most orders are verified, packed, and handed to the carrier within 1 to 2 business days. Some products may need extra handling time or ship directly from the manufacturer. For certain international orders, inventory transfers between warehouses may add time. If any delay is expected, we will let you know the dispatch date.

Delivery and tracking
Deliveries are handled by trusted carriers such as USPS, UPS, FedEx, and DHL. Estimated arrival times appear at checkout and depend on your location and the service you choose. These are estimates and can be affected by customs or carrier disruptions. A shipping confirmation with a tracking link is emailed when your order ships, and tracking may take up to 24 hours to update. You can also view tracking in your account.

Duties, taxes, and support
International customers are responsible for any customs duties, taxes, and fees charged by the destination country. If these charges are refused and a shipment returns to us, the carrier’s return cost and any re-entry customs fees will be deducted from the refund. If your order is late or you need help, contact cs@qualityboatparts.com and we will assist you.

Quality Boat Parts is a reseller. Many items include a manufacturer’s warranty, and all warranty service is handled directly by the manufacturer. We do not manage or administer warranty claims on behalf of customers.

Warranty terms, coverage, and duration are set by each manufacturer. Issues involving defects, repairs, or replacements must be addressed with the manufacturer’s support team. When available, the warranty period is listed on the product page. If it is not shown, contact us or the manufacturer for details before purchasing.

To start a claim, the customer must contact the manufacturer and follow their process. Keep your proof of purchase and original packaging, and register the product if the manufacturer requires it, as these are often needed for warranty service.

We are happy to help you find the right contact or documentation, but we cannot decide outcomes or intervene in claim resolutions. For guidance, email cs@qualityboatparts.com.
