Overview

The Raymarine A80438 is the RMK-10 wired remote keypad for remote control of Raymarine chartplotters and multifunction displays from a helm, nav station, overhead electronics box, helm chair, salon, or other practical mounting point on board.

This keypad gives the operator physical controls for core display functions, including home, menu, zoom, window control, waypoint management, power and brightness, and Evolution autopilot control. It also has a rotary controller with an integrated cursor pad, which is useful when the display is out of reach, when touch control is awkward in rough weather, or when the MFD is feeding a secondary monitor.

Power can come through Class 1 PoE over RayNet Ethernet or through the alternate power connector on 12V or 24V DC systems. The operating range is 44V to 57V DC over PoE or 9V to 32V DC through alternate power, with power consumption up to 4W at full keypad illumination. The housing is rated IPx6 and IPx7, so it is suitable for exposed helm areas where spray, rain, and washdowns are part of normal use.

Key features
  • Wired RMK-10 remote keypad for controlling Raymarine chartplotters and multifunction displays from a secondary or more ergonomic location.
  • Dedicated keys for home, menu, zoom, window control, waypoint management, power and brightness, plus Evolution autopilot control.
  • Rotary controller with integrated cursor pad gives tactile menu control when touch operation is not convenient.
  • RayNet Ethernet connection supports remote control of a single display or multiple displays mounted at the same helm station.
  • Class 1 PoE support allows power through a suitable network connection, with alternate 12V or 24V DC power also supported.
  • IPx6 and IPx7 waterproof rating supports installation in marine helm areas exposed to spray, rain, and regular washdowns.
  • Surface-mount or flush-mount installation lets the keypad fit different helm layouts and control positions.
  • Fully backlit keypad helps keep controls readable during night running, low-light docking, and early morning departures.
Installation and setup

The RMK-10 can be surface mounted or flush mounted, so it can be placed where the operator naturally reaches rather than where the main display happens to be installed. Common locations include the primary helm, an overhead electronics box, a flybridge console, a below-deck navigation table, or beside a remote monitor.

The unit connects through RayNet Ethernet for display control and network communication. Power can be supplied by a suitable PoE network connection or by the alternate power connector when PoE is not used. This flexibility is useful during refits, where existing power and network routing may determine the cleanest installation path.

Compatibility and use on board

The keypad is intended for Raymarine chartplotter and MFD control, including Axiom displays and compatible aSeries, cSeries, eSeries, eS Series, and gS Series systems. It is especially useful on boats where the main screen is installed beyond arm's reach, where a secondary monitor is used for navigation viewing, or where a physical control pad is preferred during rough conditions.

It is a good match for cruising boats, sportfishers, sailboats, and motor yachts that already rely on Raymarine displays and need dependable control from more than one position. The wired connection also suits installations where consistent response matters more than handheld convenience.

Shipping
We ship worldwide from the United States. Rates are calculated at checkout based on destination and package weight. Some items include free shipping, which will show automatically. Not every product is eligible for international shipping; checkout will confirm eligibility. We do not ship to PO Boxes except through USPS, and not all packages qualify.

Processing and dispatch
Most orders are verified, packed, and handed to the carrier within 1 to 2 business days. Some products may need extra handling time or ship directly from the manufacturer. For certain international orders, inventory transfers between warehouses may add time. If any delay is expected, we will let you know the dispatch date.

Delivery and tracking
Deliveries are handled by trusted carriers such as USPS, UPS, FedEx, and DHL. Estimated arrival times appear at checkout and depend on your location and the service you choose. These are estimates and can be affected by customs or carrier disruptions. A shipping confirmation with a tracking link is emailed when your order ships, and tracking may take up to 24 hours to update. You can also view tracking in your account.

Duties, taxes, and support
International customers are responsible for any customs duties, taxes, and fees charged by the destination country. If these charges are refused and a shipment returns to us, the carrier’s return cost and any re-entry customs fees will be deducted from the refund. If your order is late or you need help, contact cs@qualityboatparts.com and we will assist you.

Quality Boat Parts is a reseller. Many items include a manufacturer’s warranty, and all warranty service is handled directly by the manufacturer. We do not manage or administer warranty claims on behalf of customers.

Warranty terms, coverage, and duration are set by each manufacturer. Issues involving defects, repairs, or replacements must be addressed with the manufacturer’s support team. When available, the warranty period is listed on the product page. If it is not shown, contact us or the manufacturer for details before purchasing.

To start a claim, the customer must contact the manufacturer and follow their process. Keep your proof of purchase and original packaging, and register the product if the manufacturer requires it, as these are often needed for warranty service.

We are happy to help you find the right contact or documentation, but we cannot decide outcomes or intervene in claim resolutions. For guidance, email cs@qualityboatparts.com.
