Overview

The Raymarine E70204 is a CP100 CHIRP DownVision sonar module for adding Raymarine network sonar to compatible a-Series, c-Series, e-Series, and gS-Series multifunction displays. It gives a Raymarine display access to CHIRP DownVision structure imaging and a separate CHIRP fish-targeting channel, so the helm can show bottom detail and fish returns at the same time.

This module supports 12 V and 24 V DC systems, with an operating voltage range of 10.8 V DC to 31.2 V DC. Depth range is 0.6 m to 183 m, or 2 ft to 600 ft, depending on water conditions and the connected transducer. The housing is rated IPX6 and IPX7, which suits protected marine electronics spaces where spray, washdowns, humidity, and vibration are part of normal boat use.

This version is supplied without a transducer, making it a practical fit when the boat already has a compatible installation plan or when the transducer style needs to match the hull and mounting location. It connects to the display network through RayNet and uses a 9-pin transducer connection.

Key features
  • CP100 CHIRP DownVision module for Raymarine networked multifunction displays.
  • Dual-channel CHIRP sonar lets the display show DownVision structure imagery and fish targets at the same time.
  • DownVision beam gives a wide port-to-starboard view with a thin fore-to-aft slice for reading bottom structure, ledges, wrecks, vegetation, and bait activity.
  • Works with Raymarine a-Series, c-Series, e-Series, and gS-Series multifunction displays.
  • RayNet network connection allows the sonar feed to be shared on a compatible Raymarine display network.
  • Runs on 12 V or 24 V DC boat electrical systems, with a 10.8 V DC to 31.2 V DC operating range.
  • IPX6 and IPX7 rating helps protect the unit in damp marine electronics spaces.
  • Compact black-box format measures 225 mm wide, 162 mm high, and 72 mm deep, with a weight of 0.6 kg.
  • Module-only package allows the transducer to be selected separately for the hull type and mounting approach.
Electrical and network integration

The CP100 is built for a Raymarine display network rather than stand-alone use. It should be connected to a compatible Raymarine multifunction display over RayNet, then paired with a compatible DownVision transducer through the 9-pin transducer port. Power draw is low for a sonar black box, with maximum consumption listed at 5.6 W and a 5 A fuse rating.

For refits, this format helps keep the sonar processing module close to the boat’s electronics backbone while the transducer cable is routed separately to the hull or transom location. As with any sonar installation, cable routing, clean power, and spacing from high-current wiring matter for a clean image on the display.

Installation and fit

The enclosure is small enough for many helm consoles, electronics lockers, cabin-side equipment panels, or dry areas behind the dash. It should be mounted where the power, RayNet, and transducer connections are accessible for service, while still being protected from standing water and heat sources.

Because no transducer is included, the final sonar setup depends on the transducer chosen for the boat. The correct transducer choice should match the hull material, deadrise, mounting style, and the type of fishing or cruising the boat does most often.

Use cases on board

This module is a good match for owners updating a Raymarine helm who want DownVision detail without replacing the entire display system. It suits coastal fishing, bay fishing, and general cruising where seeing bottom shape, structure, bait, and fish targets on the chartplotter helps with navigation decisions and time on the water.

Quality Boat Parts is a reseller. Many items include a manufacturer’s warranty, and all warranty service is handled directly by the manufacturer. We do not manage or administer warranty claims on behalf of customers.

Warranty terms, coverage, and duration are set by each manufacturer. Issues involving defects, repairs, or replacements must be addressed with the manufacturer’s support team. When available, the warranty period is listed on the product page. If it is not shown, contact us or the manufacturer for details before purchasing.

To start a claim, the customer must contact the manufacturer and follow their process. Keep your proof of purchase and original packaging, and register the product if the manufacturer requires it, as these are often needed for warranty service.

We are happy to help you find the right contact or documentation, but we cannot decide outcomes or intervene in claim resolutions. For guidance, email cs@qualityboatparts.com.
