Overview
The Blue Sea Systems 3106100 is a double-pole 120V AC 30A A-Series ELCI main circuit breaker for boat AC shore power systems. It trips on short circuit, overload, and leakage to ground, with a 30 mA leakage trip level and 5000A interrupt capacity, so it covers both overcurrent protection and leakage protection at the main breaker position.
This breaker mounts from the front of the panel and uses a magnetic hydraulic trip-free mechanism. It is rated for 240V AC maximum, 120V AC per pole, and it is ignition protected, which matters in marine installations where equipment location and vapor safety have to be considered.
Key features
- Double-pole 30A ELCI main breaker for 120V AC shore power service
- Trips on short circuit, overload, and leakage to ground with a 30 mA leakage threshold
- Front panel mount layout for installation in a power distribution panel
- Magnetic hydraulic trip-free mechanism
- 5000A interrupt capacity with a maximum voltage rating of 240V AC, 120V AC per pole
- Ignition protected, with an operating range from -35 C to 65 C
Compatibility and fit
This model suits boats that use a 30A 120V AC shore power main and need an ELCI breaker at the distribution panel. It fits new panel builds and replacement work where an A-Series front-mounted breaker is specified and where the AC main needs leakage protection along with standard breaker protection.
Check the panel layout, enclosure depth, and system rating before ordering. If the boat uses a different shore power standard, such as 230V AC service or a higher-amperage main, this is not the right breaker.
Installation and setup
Installation belongs in a permanently installed enclosure or power distribution panel, not in a portable or cord-connected setup. Correct line and load wiring is important, and the neutral should not be grounded on the load side of the breaker.
Routine testing matters with any ELCI device. The breaker should be checked with its test function on a regular schedule so the crew can confirm it still trips and resets as intended.
Use on board
This breaker is a good match for cruising boats and other vessels with a single 30A 120V AC shore power inlet where the main AC panel is the right place for leakage protection. It also works well for panel refits when the existing setup uses the A-Series format and a white toggle main breaker.
Shipping
We ship worldwide from the United States. Rates are calculated at checkout based on destination and package weight. Some items include free shipping, which will show automatically. Not every product is eligible for international shipping; checkout will confirm eligibility. We do not ship to PO Boxes except through USPS, and not all packages qualify.
Processing and dispatch
Most orders are verified, packed, and handed to the carrier within 1 to 2 business days. Some products may need extra handling time or ship directly from the manufacturer. For certain international orders, inventory transfers between warehouses may add time. If any delay is expected, we will let you know the dispatch date.
Delivery and tracking
Deliveries are handled by trusted carriers such as USPS, UPS, FedEx, and DHL. Estimated arrival times appear at checkout and depend on your location and the service you choose. These are estimates and can be affected by customs or carrier disruptions. A shipping confirmation with a tracking link is emailed when your order ships, and tracking may take up to 24 hours to update. You can also view tracking in your account.
Duties, taxes, and support
International customers are responsible for any customs duties, taxes, and fees charged by the destination country. If these charges are refused and a shipment returns to us, the carrier’s return cost and any re-entry customs fees will be deducted from the refund. If your order is late or you need help, contact cs@qualityboatparts.com and we will assist you.
Quality Boat Parts is a reseller. Many items include a manufacturer’s warranty, and all warranty service is handled directly by the manufacturer. We do not manage or administer warranty claims on behalf of customers.
Warranty terms, coverage, and duration are set by each manufacturer. Issues involving defects, repairs, or replacements must be addressed with the manufacturer’s support team. When available, the warranty period is listed on the product page. If it is not shown, contact us or the manufacturer for details before purchasing.
To start a claim, the customer must contact the manufacturer and follow their process. Keep your proof of purchase and original packaging, and register the product if the manufacturer requires it, as these are often needed for warranty service.
We are happy to help you find the right contact or documentation, but we cannot decide outcomes or intervene in claim resolutions. For guidance, email cs@qualityboatparts.com.
