Overview

The Raymarine i40 Depth range is offered in display-only form and in complete packs with transducer options. The main difference between configurations is whether a transducer is included and which mounting style that transducer uses.

The display specifications remain consistent across the range, including the compact i40 display format, SeaTalk connectivity, 12 V DC supply, and depth instrument functions. The correct configuration depends on whether the boat already has a compatible transducer or needs a new through-hull or transom-mounted installation.

• E70064: Configuration Display Only. This option suits refits where the vessel already has the needed depth transducer setup or where the display is being added as part of a broader SeaTalk instrument system.
• E70142: Configuration Pack With Through Hull Transducers. This pack includes P371 and P7 through-hull transducers, making it the configuration for installations that use a hull-mounted depth sensing arrangement.
• E70143: Configuration Pack With Transom Transducer. This pack includes a P66 transom mount transducer, which fits installations where a transducer is mounted at the transom rather than through the hull.

Compatibility and integration

The i40 Depth connects to SeaTalk for power and data, so it can sit within a compatible Raymarine instrument network rather than working only as a standalone display. It can also communicate with SeaTalkNG systems by using the optional SeaTalk to SeaTalkNG Converter Kit E22158.

This makes the instrument useful for small boats that need a simple depth display now, as well as boats already running Raymarine instruments or autopilot equipment. Before installation, confirm the existing transducer type and network cabling so the selected configuration matches the vessel.

Installation and mounting

The compact 128 mm x 72 mm face size works well on tight dashboards, small consoles, and cockpit panels where a larger multifunction display may not be necessary. Surface mounting keeps the installation clean, while the optional trunnion mount can help when the display needs to sit on top of a console or angled surface.

For transducer packs, mounting choice matters. A through-hull transducer setup is commonly used when a more permanent hull installation is acceptable, while a transom transducer can suit many trailerable and outboard-powered boats where transom access is available.

Use on board

If these charges are refused and a shipment returns to us, the carrier’s return cost and any re-entry customs fees will be deducted from the refund.
