Overview

The Blue Sea Systems Mini OLED Temperature Monitor is a compact panel-mounted temperature display for 12V DC and 24V DC marine electrical systems. It reads temperature from -40°C to 125°C (-40°F to 250°F), shows the value in Fahrenheit or Celsius, and uses an OLED screen that remains readable in daylight and wet conditions.

The monitor fits a common 1-1/8 in mounting hole, which makes it practical for helm panels, electrical panels, cabin control stations, and equipment spaces where panel space is limited. It is a good match for boats that need a simple way to keep an eye on battery compartments, machinery spaces, lockers, or other areas where temperature matters.

Key features
  • Works with 12V DC and 24V DC systems, covering the most common small-boat and yacht electrical setups.
  • Displays temperature from -40°C to 125°C (-40°F to 250°F), with selectable Fahrenheit or Celsius readings.
  • OLED screen is daylight readable and waterproof, so the display stays usable in exposed or damp marine locations.
  • Mounts in a common 1-1/8 in hole for a neat panel installation without needing a large cutout.
  • IP66 rating supports use where spray, washdowns, and moisture are part of normal boat life.
  • Reverse polarity protection helps protect the monitor during DC wiring and service work.
  • 1°F or 1°C resolution with ± 1.25% accuracy gives clear readings for routine monitoring on board.
  • Low 10mA operating current keeps the load on the DC system minimal.
Variants

This Mini OLED Temperature Monitor is offered in two screen color configurations. Both versions are temperature monitors for 12V DC and 24V DC systems, mount in a common 1-1/8 in hole, read the same temperature range, and use the same 10mA operating current.

The main visible difference is the display color. The yellow screen has a warmer panel appearance, while the blue screen has a cooler look that can match other blue-backlit instruments or switch panels.

  • 1741: Screen color yellow. This version suits panels where a yellow OLED display is easier to distinguish from nearby gauges or warning indicators.
  • 1741200: Screen color blue. This version fits installations where a blue display better matches the rest of the helm or electrical panel layout.
Installation and setup

The compact body makes the monitor easy to place near the equipment being watched or in a main monitoring area at the helm. A 1-1/8 in round cutout is the key panel requirement, so it can sit alongside switches, DC meters, breaker panels, or other Blue Sea Systems components without taking up much space.

For DC wiring, match the installation to the vessel’s existing 12V or 24V system and protect the circuit according to the boat’s electrical plan. The reverse polarity protection is helpful during installation, but clean terminations, proper strain relief, and a dry service loop still matter in a marine environment.

Use cases on board

This monitor works well for owners, installers, and service technicians who want a small temperature display without adding a larger multifunction meter. Typical locations include battery areas, engine room spaces, electrical lockers, refrigeration-related compartments, or any area where a quick temperature check helps with routine operation.

Because the display is compact, waterproof, and readable in daylight, it can be used in both protected interior panels and more exposed control areas where space is tight and conditions change quickly.

Quality Boat Parts is a reseller. Many items include a manufacturer’s warranty, and all warranty service is handled directly by the manufacturer. We do not manage or administer warranty claims on behalf of customers.

Warranty terms, coverage, and duration are set by each manufacturer. Issues involving defects, repairs, or replacements must be addressed with the manufacturer’s support team. When available, the warranty period is listed on the product page. If it is not shown, contact us or the manufacturer for details before purchasing.

To start a claim, the customer must contact the manufacturer and follow their process. Keep your proof of purchase and original packaging, and register the product if the manufacturer requires it, as these are often needed for warranty service.

We are happy to help you find the right contact or documentation, but we cannot decide outcomes or intervene in claim resolutions. For guidance, email cs@qualityboatparts.com.
