The Simrad 000-11260-001 is a 15.6 inch widescreen multi-touch marine monitor for glass-bridge helms where you want a clean, flush fit and a screen that stays readable in direct sun. Brightness is rated at 1000 nits and the panel runs a native 1366 x 768 resolution, with HDMI, DVI-I, and composite video inputs for flexible integration.
Overall size is 400 x 260 x 74 mm, and the front sits down to an 8 mm flush-mount profile with a thin bezel. When dash mounted with only the front exposed, the front face carries an IPX5 water-ingress rating. Trim options in black and silver let you match the monitor to the rest of the helm.
Power is suitable for 12 V and 24 V DC systems (9 to 31.2 V input range). If you are tying it into a compatible processor setup, a NMEA 2000 connection is used for functions like the Home key behavior and applying software updates from the processor to the monitor.

Compatibility and system integration
This monitor can be used as the primary screen for a processor-based navigation setup or as an extra screen for other HDMI-capable electronics on board. Video can be fed over HDMI, DVI-I, or composite, and the on-screen controls let you move between sources without adding external buttons at the helm.
For touch interaction with a Simrad NSO evo2 Marine Processor, touch control is carried over a serial connection. For PC systems, touch can be carried over USB. DVI input is intended for non-HDCP sources, which matters when you are connecting third-party video devices.
When installed in a compatible processor network, connecting to NMEA 2000 is part of the full integration. It enables functions tied to processor control and is also used when applying monitor software updates via the network.
Installation and helm fit
Plan the cutout and rear clearance before committing to a panel location. The overall body depth is 74 mm, and the flush-mount profile keeps the front of the display low on the dash so sight lines stay clean on a center console, sportfishing bridge, or modern yacht helm.
If the installation is exposed to washdowns or green water, treat the rear connections as a protected area and route cables with strain relief. The front face rating applies when dash mounted with only the front exposed, so a sealed console and tidy cable management make a noticeable difference over time.
Power and wiring
Wire it to a stable 12 V or 24 V DC supply within the 9 to 31.2 V input range and protect the circuit with the recommended 3 A fuse. This display is not intended for vessels fitted with a positive ground electrical system, so confirm your boat’s grounding scheme before installation.
The harness includes a power control lead that can be used to follow a helm switch or participate in a master and slave setup, depending on how you configure the monitor. On fast boats that see vibration, secure the power and signal cables so connectors are not carrying weight or constant movement.
On-board use
This is a strong match for helms that run a processor-based navigation system and want a dedicated, sunlight-readable screen with touch interaction. It also fits boats that want a second view at the helm, such as keeping a camera feed up while you switch other sources on the main screen.
Maintenance and care
Rinse salt spray off the glass with fresh water and wipe with a soft cloth. Keep connectors dry, keep cable runs supported, and avoid cleaners that leave a film or scratch the surface, especially on a touch display that gets used with wet hands.
