Installation and setup
Plan the mounting spot so the light can swing and aim without bumping a bulkhead, headliner trim, or a cabinet door. The 2.53 in base diameter helps you confirm the footprint on flat surfaces like cabin sides, berth panels, and nav stations.
Route wiring where it will not chafe with vibration, and keep connections protected from moisture. Use appropriate circuit protection for the branch circuit and make sure any dimmer used is rated for DC LED loads in the 10-30V range.
Electrical and dimming notes
The integrated switch makes it easy to shut the light off at the fixture, which is handy in sleeping areas and workspaces. For dimming, tie the light into a compatible dimmer control so you can drop output for night running and keep glare down in the cabin.
