Overview
The Lopolight 400-222 is a surface-mount spreader light with white and red output for lighting up deck areas without blasting your eyes at night.
It runs on 12VDC or 24VDC and draws 250 mA at 12VDC or 125 mA at 24VDC. The low-profile housing measures Ø65 mm x 12.5 mm (2.56 in x 0.5 in) and carries an IP68 rating for wet mounting locations on board.
Use white when you are rigging, docking, or working lines on deck, then switch to red when you want light that is easier on night vision during night passages or at anchor.
Key features
- White and red light output for work lighting or low-glare night lighting
- IP68-rated sealing for spray, rain, and washdowns
- Supports 12VDC and 24VDC systems; draws 250 mA at 12VDC or 125 mA at 24VDC
- Compact size: Ø65 mm x 12.5 mm (2.56 in x 0.5 in)
- Surface-mount installation with two 4 mm mounting holes
- Built to meet IEC 60945 requirements for marine electronics environments
Installation and setup
Mount it on a flat surface under mast spreaders, a hardtop, or a radar arch where the light can wash the deck without shining straight into the helm. Before drilling, confirm you have clearance behind the mounting surface for wiring and that the area will not trap water.
Use marine-grade fasteners suited to your mounting surface and seal any penetrations with a marine sealant. Leave a drip loop in the wiring run and support the cable so it does not flex at the entry point when the boat is pounding.
Electrical and system integration
Connect to your boat’s DC lighting circuit and protect the feed with an appropriately sized fuse or breaker for the circuit. Plan your switching so you can select white or red output from the helm or a nearby panel, and route wiring away from heat sources and moving rigging.
Compatibility and fit
This light is a straightforward fit for 12V and 24V boats where you want a low-profile fixture. The 65 mm diameter body works well on most masts, hardtops, and arches, but check surface curvature and any internal obstructions before drilling the mounting holes.
Use cases on board
Common installs include sailboat spreader lighting to light the foredeck, cockpit lighting for docking, and aft deck lighting for nighttime fishing prep. It suits crews who want a white work light at the dock and a red option underway to keep eyes adjusted to the dark.
Maintenance and care
Rinse with fresh water after saltwater use and inspect the sealant line and wiring support points during routine maintenance. In high-spray areas, check the mounting fasteners occasionally to make sure the fixture stays snug.

Quality Boat Parts is a reseller. Many items include a manufacturer’s warranty, and all warranty service is handled directly by the manufacturer. We do not manage or administer warranty claims on behalf of customers.
Warranty terms, coverage, and duration are set by each manufacturer. Issues involving defects, repairs, or replacements must be addressed with the manufacturer’s support team. When available, the warranty period is listed on the product page. If it is not shown, contact us or the manufacturer for details before purchasing.
To start a claim, the customer must contact the manufacturer and follow their process. Keep your proof of purchase and original packaging, and register the product if the manufacturer requires it, as these are often needed for warranty service.
We are happy to help you find the right contact or documentation, but we cannot decide outcomes or intervene in claim resolutions. For guidance, email cs@qualityboatparts.com.
