Overview

The Lumitec 101621 is a fully submersible LED livewell and utility light with full-color Spectrum output for wet compartments on board. It runs on 10-30 vDC (12V or 24V systems), draws up to 0.50A at 12V or 0.25A at 24V, and puts out 281 lumens while consuming 5.7W.

It is rated IP68 for continuous exposure to water and is built to handle the kind of washdowns, splashing, and immersion that livewells and fish boxes see. White mode is 5000K, and the housing finish is white for a clean install in bait tanks, lockers, and utility spaces.

Key features
  • IP68-rated light head for livewells, fish boxes, splash wells, and other spaces that stay wet
  • Wide 10-30 vDC input range for 12V and 24V electrical systems
  • 281-lumen output with 5.7W draw for practical brightness in enclosed compartments
  • Spectrum full-color output with a 5000K white mode for everyday rigging and cleanup
  • Two-wire DC hookup: red to positive, black to negative (ground)
  • Toggle-based control: white ramps up on power-up and can be held at a dimmer level by briefly toggling power during the first 4 seconds
  • Color cycle and lock: after the light is on in white mode, a quick off/on toggle within 2 seconds starts the color cycle and another quick toggle locks the color
  • Compact through-mount size: 2.0 inch face diameter, 2.22 inch overall depth, and a 1.29 inch (33mm) mounting hole
Fit and mounting

This light mounts through a round cutout with a 1.29 inch (33mm) hole size, and the visible face measures 2.0 inches across. Plan for about 2.22 inches of depth behind the panel so the body clears plumbing, baitwell fittings, and insulation in the tank wall.

For installations through cored fiberglass or wood panels, seal the exposed core at the cutout so water cannot migrate into the laminate. Keep wiring supported so vibration and hatch movement do not pull on the leads.

Wiring and control

Wire it on a protected circuit with an appropriately sized fuse or breaker, then connect red to your DC positive feed and black to negative (ground). On basic switched power, it starts in white mode and ramps up over about 4 seconds; a quick off/on during that ramp holds a dimmer white level.

To access full-color Spectrum mode without a controller, the light needs to be on in white mode first. A quick off/on toggle within 2 seconds starts the color cycle, and another quick toggle within 2 seconds locks the current color. If power is off for more than 2 seconds, it returns to white mode the next time it is switched on.

It is also compatible with the Lumitec Poco Digital Lighting Control system for integrated color control alongside other Poco-enabled lights.

Use cases on board

Lutra is a good match for larger livewells and bait tanks where you want consistent illumination for bait checks, rigging, and cleaning, plus the option to set colors for nighttime deck work. It also works well in fish boxes, transom compartments, and wet lockers where lights often fail from constant exposure to water.

Maintenance and care

In saltwater boats, rinse the area around the light during washdowns and keep wire connections above standing water when possible. Periodically inspect the wiring for chafe near lids, hinges, and pump plumbing, especially in livewell walls that see frequent vibration.

Shipping
We ship worldwide from the United States. Rates are calculated at checkout based on destination and package weight. Some items include free shipping, which will show automatically. Not every product is eligible for international shipping; checkout will confirm eligibility. We do not ship to PO Boxes except through USPS, and not all packages qualify.

Processing and dispatch
Most orders are verified, packed, and handed to the carrier within 1 to 2 business days. Some products may need extra handling time or ship directly from the manufacturer. For certain international orders, inventory transfers between warehouses may add time. If any delay is expected, we will let you know the dispatch date.

Delivery and tracking
Deliveries are handled by trusted carriers such as USPS, UPS, FedEx, and DHL. Estimated arrival times appear at checkout and depend on your location and the service you choose. These are estimates and can be affected by customs or carrier disruptions. A shipping confirmation with a tracking link is emailed when your order ships, and tracking may take up to 24 hours to update. You can also view tracking in your account.

Duties, taxes, and support
International customers are responsible for any customs duties, taxes, and fees charged by the destination country. If these charges are refused and a shipment returns to us, the carrier’s return cost and any re-entry customs fees will be deducted from the refund. If your order is late or you need help, contact cs@qualityboatparts.com and we will assist you.

Quality Boat Parts is a reseller. Many items include a manufacturer’s warranty, and all warranty service is handled directly by the manufacturer. We do not manage or administer warranty claims on behalf of customers.

Warranty terms, coverage, and duration are set by each manufacturer. Issues involving defects, repairs, or replacements must be addressed with the manufacturer’s support team. When available, the warranty period is listed on the product page. If it is not shown, contact us or the manufacturer for details before purchasing.

To start a claim, the customer must contact the manufacturer and follow their process. Keep your proof of purchase and original packaging, and register the product if the manufacturer requires it, as these are often needed for warranty service.

We are happy to help you find the right contact or documentation, but we cannot decide outcomes or intervene in claim resolutions. For guidance, email cs@qualityboatparts.com.
