Overview
The Victron Energy BAM030710100 is a BMV-710H Smart high-voltage battery monitor for battery banks operating from 60 to 385Vdc. It is made for systems where a standard low-voltage monitor is not suitable, giving the helm, electrical panel, or equipment space a clear readout of state of charge, voltage, current, consumed amp hours, power, time to go, and stored history.
This monitor uses a 500A/50mV shunt housed in a high-voltage enclosure, with a round flush-mount display for onboard viewing and built-in Bluetooth for setup and monitoring through the VictronConnect app. It also includes a VE.Direct port for integration with compatible Victron GX devices and wider Victron monitoring systems.
For marine installations with high-voltage propulsion, large DC battery banks, or more complex onboard energy systems, this unit helps make battery use easier to understand without relying on guesswork. The head unit is IP55 rated and is not intended for exposed outdoor mounting, so it should be installed in a protected panel, cabin, helm area, or equipment space.
Key features
- Supports high-voltage battery systems from 60 to 385Vdc, matching applications that sit above typical 12V, 24V, or 48V house-bank monitoring.
- Measures battery voltage and current, then calculates state of charge, consumed amp hours, power, time to go, and historical battery data.
- Built-in Bluetooth allows wireless configuration and monitoring from a phone or tablet using the VictronConnect app.
- VE.Direct communication port allows connection to compatible Victron GX devices for system-level monitoring.
- Includes a 500A/50mV shunt in a high-voltage enclosure for current measurement in demanding DC systems.
- Flush-mount head unit has a 63 mm front diameter, a 52 mm body diameter, and a 31 mm body depth for panel planning.
- Low current draw of less than 1 mA with the backlight off helps limit monitor load on the battery system.
- Programmable bistable relay is rated 60V / 1A normally open, with the relay function able to be inverted.
- Current measurement accuracy is rated at plus or minus 0.4 percent, with voltage measurement accuracy rated at plus or minus 0.3 percent.
Installation and setup
The display is intended for flush mounting, with the round head unit and square bezel giving installers flexibility when matching an existing panel layout. The supplied 10 meter UTP RJ12 cable connects the head unit to the shunt assembly, which helps keep the display where it is easy to read while the shunt remains close to the battery cabling.
The shunt uses M10 connection bolts, so cable lug sizing and available service space should be checked before installation. Because this is a high-voltage battery monitor, installation should be handled with the same care used for the rest of the DC system, including correct isolation, fuse placement, cable routing, and protection from moisture, vibration, and accidental contact.
Compatibility and system integration
The BMV-710H Smart fits Victron-based systems that need direct local battery monitoring and app-based access without adding a separate Bluetooth dongle. Through VictronConnect, settings can be adjusted and history can be checked from a mobile device, which is useful during commissioning, troubleshooting, or routine battery checks before leaving the dock.
The VE.Direct port makes the monitor a practical match for vessels already using compatible Victron GX monitoring equipment. In that type of system, battery information can be brought into a broader onboard energy overview rather than being limited to the front display only.
Use cases on board
This monitor is a strong fit for boats with high-voltage DC battery systems where the crew needs more than a simple voltmeter. It is useful for electric or hybrid propulsion support systems, larger inverter banks, and advanced energy installations where state of charge, current flow, and remaining runtime matter during cruising, fishing, or extended time away from shore power.
It is also well suited to protected helm stations, navigation areas, electrical lockers, and technical spaces where quick battery checks need to be available without opening battery compartments or connecting service tools every time.

Shipping
We ship worldwide from the United States. Rates are calculated at checkout based on destination and package weight. Some items include free shipping, which will show automatically. Not every product is eligible for international shipping; checkout will confirm eligibility. We do not ship to PO Boxes except through USPS, and not all packages qualify.
Processing and dispatch
Most orders are verified, packed, and handed to the carrier within 1 to 2 business days. Some products may need extra handling time or ship directly from the manufacturer. For certain international orders, inventory transfers between warehouses may add time. If any delay is expected, we will let you know the dispatch date.
Delivery and tracking
Deliveries are handled by trusted carriers such as USPS, UPS, FedEx, and DHL. Estimated arrival times appear at checkout and depend on your location and the service you choose. These are estimates and can be affected by customs or carrier disruptions. A shipping confirmation with a tracking link is emailed when your order ships, and tracking may take up to 24 hours to update. You can also view tracking in your account.
Duties, taxes, and support
International customers are responsible for any customs duties, taxes, and fees charged by the destination country. If these charges are refused and a shipment returns to us, the carrier’s return cost and any re-entry customs fees will be deducted from the refund. If your order is late or you need help, contact cs@qualityboatparts.com and we will assist you.
Quality Boat Parts is a reseller. Many items include a manufacturer’s warranty, and all warranty service is handled directly by the manufacturer. We do not manage or administer warranty claims on behalf of customers.
Warranty terms, coverage, and duration are set by each manufacturer. Issues involving defects, repairs, or replacements must be addressed with the manufacturer’s support team. When available, the warranty period is listed on the product page. If it is not shown, contact us or the manufacturer for details before purchasing.
To start a claim, the customer must contact the manufacturer and follow their process. Keep your proof of purchase and original packaging, and register the product if the manufacturer requires it, as these are often needed for warranty service.
We are happy to help you find the right contact or documentation, but we cannot decide outcomes or intervene in claim resolutions. For guidance, email cs@qualityboatparts.com.
