Overview
The Garmin 010-11612-00 is a 6-pin female to 8-pin male transducer adapter cable used to mate Garmin 6-pin and 8-pin transducer connections on a boat’s sonar system.
It’s commonly used during upgrades when a transducer and a sounder or chartplotter are not the same connector style. Instead of cutting or re-terminating cables, you keep factory connectors intact and bridge the connection at the back of the display, at a sounder module, or anywhere the transducer lead is accessible and protected.
Key features
- Connector ends: 6-pin female on one side and 8-pin male on the other
- Adapts Garmin 6-pin and 8-pin transducer connector styles without splicing
- Helps keep an existing system in service while you upgrade transducers or electronics in stages
- Intended for sonar transducer connections (not a network, radar, or power adapter)
Compatibility and fit
Confirm the connector style on both sides before ordering. This adapter is for Garmin transducer-style connectors with 6 pins on one end and 8 pins on the other, and it’s meant to bridge those two connector families only. It does not convert sonar technology or change what the transducer supports; it simply adapts the connector interface.
Installation and setup
Connect the adapter inline between the transducer lead and the sounder connection, then hand-tighten the locking collars fully so the seals seat correctly. Route and secure the cable so the connectors are not hanging by their weight, and keep the connection point out of standing water, away from bilge splash, and clear of sharp bends or chafe points. Leaving a small service loop and adding strain relief helps in areas that see vibration.
Use on board
This is a practical fit for refits where the transducer cable end you have does not match the electronics you’re installing, or for owners replacing a transducer while keeping an older Garmin sounder connection in place. It’s also useful when you want a clean, reversible install that can be removed later without leaving splices behind the helm.

Quality Boat Parts is a reseller. Many items include a manufacturer’s warranty, and all warranty service is handled directly by the manufacturer. We do not manage or administer warranty claims on behalf of customers.
Warranty terms, coverage, and duration are set by each manufacturer. Issues involving defects, repairs, or replacements must be addressed with the manufacturer’s support team. When available, the warranty period is listed on the product page. If it is not shown, contact us or the manufacturer for details before purchasing.
To start a claim, the customer must contact the manufacturer and follow their process. Keep your proof of purchase and original packaging, and register the product if the manufacturer requires it, as these are often needed for warranty service.
We are happy to help you find the right contact or documentation, but we cannot decide outcomes or intervene in claim resolutions. For guidance, email cs@qualityboatparts.com.
