Overview
The Garmin 010-12167-00 is a replacement SD card door that covers the memory-card bay on select Garmin marine displays. It restores the protective door that keeps the card seated and the slot covered when the helm is exposed to spray, salt residue, and routine washdowns.
This door is used on GPSMAP 7408, 7410, 7412, 7416 (including xsv versions), GPSMAP 7608, 7610, 7612, 7616 (including xsv versions), and GPSMAP 1222 and 1242 Plus or Touch models (including xsv versions). It is also listed for the Volvo Penta Glass Cockpit System.
It is a small service part, but it matters if you swap chart or sonar cards, keep a card installed full time, or simply want the card area closed and protected again after the original door cracks or goes missing.
Key features
- Replacement SD card door for the physical memory-card access opening on compatible marine displays
- Helps keep the memory card seated and the slot covered from grime and splash at the helm
- Compatible with GPSMAP 7408, 7410, 7412, 7416 (including xsv versions)
- Compatible with GPSMAP 7608, 7610, 7612, 7616 (including xsv versions)
- Compatible with GPSMAP 1222 and 1242 Plus or Touch models (including xsv versions) and the Volvo Penta Glass Cockpit System
- No wiring or software setup involved; this part replaces the door only
Compatibility and fit
Because Garmin uses different door shapes across families and generations, match your unit by model and by the style of the existing card door. If your display is from a different GPSMAP series than those listed above, this door may not seat or latch correctly even if it looks similar at a glance.
This part is for the card door itself. Charts, memory cards, and other hardware are not part of the door replacement.
Installation and setup
Install it the same way as the original door: remove the damaged or missing door, fit the replacement in place, then check that it closes fully and stays closed under light vibration. After installation, confirm the card inserts and ejects normally and that the door does not bind when opened and closed.
Use on board
This is a practical fix for boats that run with a flush-mounted helm display, see frequent card changes for chart regions, or keep a chart card installed year-round. It is also a good match for owners who want the card bay covered again before the boat goes back into saltwater service.
Maintenance and care
Rinse salt residue off the helm area with fresh water and wipe dry so grit does not build up around the door. Avoid harsh solvents on the door and surrounding bezel to prevent surface damage over time.
Shipping
We ship worldwide from the United States. Rates are calculated at checkout based on destination and package weight. Some items include free shipping, which will show automatically. Not every product is eligible for international shipping; checkout will confirm eligibility. We do not ship to PO Boxes except through USPS, and not all packages qualify.
Processing and dispatch
Most orders are verified, packed, and handed to the carrier within 1 to 2 business days. Some products may need extra handling time or ship directly from the manufacturer. For certain international orders, inventory transfers between warehouses may add time. If any delay is expected, we will let you know the dispatch date.
Delivery and tracking
Deliveries are handled by trusted carriers such as USPS, UPS, FedEx, and DHL. Estimated arrival times appear at checkout and depend on your location and the service you choose. These are estimates and can be affected by customs or carrier disruptions. A shipping confirmation with a tracking link is emailed when your order ships, and tracking may take up to 24 hours to update. You can also view tracking in your account.
Duties, taxes, and support
International customers are responsible for any customs duties, taxes, and fees charged by the destination country. If these charges are refused and a shipment returns to us, the carrier’s return cost and any re-entry customs fees will be deducted from the refund. If your order is late or you need help, contact cs@qualityboatparts.com and we will assist you.
Quality Boat Parts is a reseller. Many items include a manufacturer’s warranty, and all warranty service is handled directly by the manufacturer. We do not manage or administer warranty claims on behalf of customers.
Warranty terms, coverage, and duration are set by each manufacturer. Issues involving defects, repairs, or replacements must be addressed with the manufacturer’s support team. When available, the warranty period is listed on the product page. If it is not shown, contact us or the manufacturer for details before purchasing.
To start a claim, the customer must contact the manufacturer and follow their process. Keep your proof of purchase and original packaging, and register the product if the manufacturer requires it, as these are often needed for warranty service.
We are happy to help you find the right contact or documentation, but we cannot decide outcomes or intervene in claim resolutions. For guidance, email cs@qualityboatparts.com.
