Overview
The Attwood Marine 65UW12B-7 is a surface-mount underwater LED light with 12 sapphire blue LEDs for 12V and 24V DC systems. It is the 6 inch High Performance version in the LightArmor range, with 1,650 lumens of output and current draw of 1.32A at 13.6V or 0.66A at 24V.
This light mounts below the waterline and only works underwater. Its low profile helps keep the fixture close to the transom, which matters on boats where space is tight around ladders, tabs, or swim platforms. The aftermarket packaged version includes an electro-polished 316 stainless steel cover.

Installation and fit
Check the transom layout before drilling. This 6.0 HP model measures 6.00 inches long and 2.35 inches wide, with 5.25 inches between mounting holes. The required wiring hole diameter is 0.56 inches. Installed height is 0.56 inches, and wire collar depth is 0.30 inches.
The supplied 3 ft sheathed wire suits short runs from the mounting point to a nearby power connection. For a clean installation, mount it on a solid section of transom below the waterline with enough room for the cable entry, fasteners, and sealing around the wiring hole.
Electrical and system integration
This light fits straightforward DC lighting circuits where you are bringing switched power to the stern. The dual-voltage design makes it useful on smaller 12V boats and on larger 24V systems without changing the fixture. Reverse polarity protection adds a layer of protection during hookup, but proper circuit protection and marine sealing still matter at the install point.
Use on board
This is a good match for owners who want blue underwater lighting at the stern without stepping up to a larger housing. It suits center consoles, cruisers, towboats, and other transom-mounted applications where a low fixture height and predictable current draw are important when planning the install.

Quality Boat Parts is a reseller. Many items include a manufacturer’s warranty, and all warranty service is handled directly by the manufacturer. We do not manage or administer warranty claims on behalf of customers.
Warranty terms, coverage, and duration are set by each manufacturer. Issues involving defects, repairs, or replacements must be addressed with the manufacturer’s support team. When available, the warranty period is listed on the product page. If it is not shown, contact us or the manufacturer for details before purchasing.
To start a claim, the customer must contact the manufacturer and follow their process. Keep your proof of purchase and original packaging, and register the product if the manufacturer requires it, as these are often needed for warranty service.
We are happy to help you find the right contact or documentation, but we cannot decide outcomes or intervene in claim resolutions. For guidance, email cs@qualityboatparts.com.
