Overview
The Garmin 010-11010-20 is a 1 kW tilted-element thru-hull transducer with an 8-pin connector for traditional 50/200 kHz sonar, sending depth and water temperature to your display. It is built around a 20° tilt and is intended to be installed on hulls with a 16° to 24° deadrise so the element sits closer to level once it is in the water.
The low-profile bronze housing sits close to the hull and protrudes less than 0.25 in outside, which helps when the boat lives on a trailer and may rest on rollers or bunks. Beamwidth is 22° x 20° at low frequency or 6° x 6° at high frequency, with a depth rating of 1,200 to 1,800 ft depending on conditions.
This is a bronze thru-hull style that is commonly used on fiberglass and wood hulls and is not recommended for metal hulls.

Compatibility and fit
This transducer uses an 8-pin sonar connector. If your sounder uses a 6-pin transducer port, an adapter cable is required for installation.
The built-in tilt is matched to hull deadrise in the 16° to 24° range, which is the key fit check before purchase. If your deadrise falls outside that window, the element angle will be off and performance can suffer.
Installation and setup
As a thru-hull, it is installed through the bottom of the boat and sealed in place, so planning the location matters. Choose a spot that stays in clean water at speed, away from strakes, steps, intakes, and running gear that can introduce aeration.
Route the cable so it is supported, protected from chafe, and kept away from high-heat areas and moving parts. Once installed, confirm the display is set for 50/200 kHz operation and that temperature data is enabled if your unit allows it.

This transducer is a practical match for coastal cruising, offshore runs, and fishing boats that want traditional sonar with depth and temperature, especially on hulls where a 16° to 24° deadrise mount location is available.
Maintenance and care
Inspect the housing and bedding periodically for signs of seepage, and check the cable where it passes through bulkheads or rigging tubes. Keep the transducer face clean of growth and avoid aggressive scraping that can damage the active surface.
