The Garmin 010-12163-00 is a bail mount with knobs for GPSMAP 7x07 chartplotters, letting you surface-mount the display and tilt it to a readable angle at the helm.

It fits GPSMAP 7407 and 7607 units, including 7407xsv and 7607xsv. This style of mount works well on a dash, an electronics box, or a nav pod when you want to adjust the screen angle for seated and standing driving.

Compatibility and fit

This bracket matches the GPSMAP 7x07 chassis and mounting points. If your unit is outside the 7x07 family, the hole spacing and bracket shape can differ.

Before drilling, confirm you have clearance for the display to tilt and for the back of the unit to accept power and network connectors without forcing tight bends.

Installation and setup

Fasten the base to a mounting location that is flat and well supported. On thin fiberglass panels, a backing plate or large washers help spread the load and keep the mount from working loose in chop.

After the base is secured, attach the chartplotter to the bracket, install the knobs, then set the viewing angle and tighten by hand. Re-check fasteners and knob tightness after the first few trips.

On-board use

This mount is a good match for helms where the viewing angle changes with sun position or seating height, including many center consoles, pilothouses, and sailboat cockpits. It also helps when you want the display to swing down for storage under a cover or for easier dash cleaning.
