Overview

The Perko Omega Series is an LED universal replacement white all-round pole light with a fold-in-half pole for power driven vessels under 20 meters, or 65.6 feet, in length. It is a 12 Volt LED navigation light with 2-Mile USCG 2nm certification, a 4.5 watt draw, and .35 amp current draw, giving boat owners a practical replacement option for stern or all-round light positions that need compliant visibility without the heat and power use of older incandescent pole lights.

The reduced-glare globe helps cut down light spill at the helm at night, while the adjustable head lets the light be leveled horizontally even when the base angle is not perfectly flat. The universal replacement layout includes two collar styles and two key slot screw positions, so it can match a wider range of common plug-in pole bases already installed on many boats.

Variants

This product is offered in two pole-length configurations. Both variants use the same Perko Omega Series LED universal replacement all-round light format and differ by pole length.

The 48 inch version is a shorter pole option for installations where the all-round light already clears the windshield, hardtop, engine cover, or other onboard obstructions. The 60 inch version adds height for boats that need extra elevation to keep the light visible above the cockpit, seating, canvas, or equipment.

• 1348DP8CHR: Pole length 60 inches. This length suits installations where the light needs more height to maintain clear all-round visibility above surrounding boat structure.
• 1348DP6CHR: Pole length 48 inches. This length fits boats where a lower pole gives enough clearance while keeping the removable light easier to handle and stow.

Installation and fit

This light is meant for plug-in pole light replacement work where the existing base can be reused. The included collar options cover both locking and large threaded Perko 2-pin bases listed for this series, and the universal head adjustment helps correct the light angle after the pole is seated in the base.

Before ordering, match the pole length to the mounting location and make sure the light will sit high enough for an unobstructed 360 degree view. On center consoles, runabouts, fishing boats, and small cruisers, this usually means checking clearance above the windshield, bimini frame, outboard cowling, rod holders, and any gear mounted aft.

Electrical and onboard use

The light is for 12 Volt DC systems and should be wired through the vessel navigation light circuit using the existing base and switch arrangement when compatible. Its LED load is low, which is helpful for night operation at anchor or during slow evening returns when batteries may already be supporting electronics, pumps, and cabin loads.

This is a good match for boat owners replacing an older all-round pole light with an LED unit while keeping the installation familiar.
